My understanding is that the club hasn't offered him a new contract so far...not that he has refused to sign one so that he can leave for free. What reason is there to criticise Lloris for this situation?

i didnt criticise him at all - just observing that for one reason or another the club captain isnt best placed asking for patience given his own personal situation!

If your comment wasn't intended as criticism then I really don't understand the point you're trying to make.

Is Lloris not currently exercising patience on the uncertain future of his contract? I would say that makes him well placed, not poorly placed, to expect patience from others.

My point couldnt be clearer….i dont want to be told to be patient by an employee of the club who might not be around by June next year! Is it his fault? Dont know…..is it absurd? I think it is.

I don't want to look too much into his comments but the below does make you think, what is going on.

We need confidence, we need to stick together — managers, the coaching staff, medical staff, players — and try to go in the same way.
“This is the important thing, to try to make sure everyone is going in the same way. I think we will have a better view [of where we are] in a few months.

I seriously doubt that.

Kane is no longer Spurs at heart. He cares so little and does so little on the field that he should be dropped. Simply adds to the rot.

So what make you think Lloris cares so much? you think he doesn't want to win silverware like Kane does?

Lloris is right that Nuno hasn’t been given enough time. The problems existed before he arrived. He may not be the right man but he deserves a fair chance. Lloris has been a good servant to Spurs and has the right to go at the end of his contract. It is unfair to compare him to the whingeing brat Kane.

No he does not deserve a fair chance. He needs to go.

Who would we replace him with?
100 Monkeys, each with a laptop and a copy of Football Manager 2021 updated for current transfers. Simply get the apes to play and take an average of the team selections and tactics. Won’t be any less organised than the current muppet in charge ?

He does need more time... I have seen spurs play the type of football I want to see under Nuno, but not enough of it.
He is still fidgeting with the team to work out what works and what doesn't and I dont think we will see the 1st half team against arsenal ever again.
So long as he is learning and improving then I am happy to give him time...

Graham Potter at Brighton has a promising résumé and plays a style of football that should be compatible with our squad.

EDIT: Just read that Potter wasn't interested.

Any type of football that is going to stray too far away from what Poch built isn't going to suit this squad. It will require an overhaul that I would not trust Nuno with executing.
If our board had considered what kind of manager would best suit our players, Nuno should not have made the shortlist. He is not a bad manager, he just does not suit us; dross appointment.
