Vorm had essentially lost his starting job to Tremmel when he was sold to us and Fabianski was brought in to be their starter, so no Vorm was not their starter. So I'm not sure you understand what a fact is.
As someone mentioned earlier, this was due to injury. So sure, he may have been effectively a number 2 at a point, but there is no doubting, he was their preferred keeper. You think the most likely reason that Tremmel featured in his place is because he wasn't good enough? You REALLY think he was dropped? I think YOU may have been dropped. On ya head! When are you thinking he lost his starting place?
Picture the year we sign Lloris. Imagine we sold Friedel to someone, would that be selling someone our starter or our backup?
You're comparing Friedel to Vorm? Come on. We signed Lloris, exactly! What does that tell you? Brad was done and needed replacing. Vorm did not need replacing.

Sort of true but the truth is
Vorm had a really bad problem with his knee swansea thought it was clinical and wanted someone new in. Add to the fact that vorm was refusing to sign a new contract and has been looking for a way out for a while he expected to follow Brendan to liverpool I think all along,
Whether Votm still has a really bad problem with his knee I do not know but I know swansea were concerned enough with it not to play him.
If he still has a REALLY bad problem with his knee, then I'm surprised he passed his medical with us.

What are you talking about? It was a fact that they spent around £120m in the summer. They spent £25m on Lallana and £20m on Dejan f*cking Lovren who looks worse than Kaboul. They still managed to net spend over £40m despite selling a player for £65m. They were serious about spending, they just didn't get anyone near Lloris' level in.
My point is, they spread their spending out and didn't go for a big single signing. Let's say United were not interested in Di Maria; I see no reason why he wouldn't have considered Liverpool. I'm not sure we can label Liverpool a club that no one wants to play for, especially if they're in the CL. It's just a matter of them putting the money down.

Lloris will cost in excess of £30m
If de Gea goes to Real as I believe, Man U. will need to act.

just business nothing more
Well I think we can be fairly sure that man u will have begun to act prior to letting De Gea go anywhere.

No, you are wrong.
Well that is just a real first class argument you've presented there Sir. You didn't fancy telling him and the rest of us all WHY he is wrong? I mean, why you think that football is not a business and why Levy is NOT a businessman? That does seem to be what you're alluding to.

Plenty of GKs out there.
You make it sound like Hugo is just a run of the mill keeper. If De Gea is out of the picture, Lloris is number one target, you can be sure of that.

This will have a knock-on effect throughout European football. We still have to see Cech find a permanent home if he's allowed by Roman. Man U will have already been testing the water for Hugo IMHO. Lpool and Arsenal could also be in the market. Going to be interesting.

United is not the biggest team on the planet.
United fans won't want to hear that!

Do you honestly think Levy would sell the guy who's essentially our Captain to Manchester Untied, a team who is, points-wise, quite close to us at the moment.
What's that got to do with it? You think Lloris will not want to join an LVG lead, 3rd place finished, Champions League bound Manchester United because on the 7th Jan they were only 3 points ahead of us? LOL, if only!

Didn't Levy actually reject United's bigger offer for Bale as well?

Reports suggest that, sure, but you're holding onto that? Really? You think that means we have a 'don't sell to United' policy? Bale wanted Madrid, not bloody United. Weren't you aware Levy gave Bale his word long ago that he would allow him to fulfill his dream? It was only ever going to be Madrid.

Are you now suggesting that Liverpool and Arsenal could also want Lloris?

Hugo Lloris will not sign for Manchester United. You can quote me on that.

In their dreams without a doubt. But realistically I cant see Levy selling in the UK for under mega amounts.

But its down to the player do not forget that!

You serious? Well now that's where I draw the line of 'not surely possible!' You really think that could happen? It would mean the end of Levy for a start; and by "end", I do mean assassination by any one of Tottenham's fan base,
including me, 12,000 miles away and having to travel.

Calm down - Arsenal are in the market for 'a keeper' as are Lpool I would have thought. Both would swap the directors gonads for Hugo

Can't quite believe that article doesn't mention De Gea linked with Madrid. There is surely no way united would go for Valdes as first choice keeper over Lloris. Valdes seems somewhat of a blind old incontinent sheepdog and Lloris, a fresh fluffy puppy in comparison. Even as backup, Lindegaard would seem to me to be the more reliable option and any club is lucky to have backup as young and as good as him. Weird story.
