Clearly it's not happening this way, but are Tosin or Kelly really that much better than Tanganga? Tanganga is home grown, a decent 1 on 1 defender. Would I'm sure be happy as a squad option, not cost £20m, etc.

This season particularly, clearly Cuti and VDV are gonna play most games, and the issues come with injuries/suspensions, but tlikelihood is that whoever is back up will play with one of Cuti or VDV, and I'm sure will look fine. Am I crazy?

Ultimately I think Tanganga deserves to go somewhere he plays regularly.

Could be injury related as well. Tanganga has a terrible injury record so very hard to rely on him as a 3rd choice.

Tosin may well be much better, not saying he or Kelly aren't better, I just don't know enough about them, and I believe you drop Tanganga in alongside Cuti or VDV with the rest of the first XI and he'd be more than fine. Tanganga, as well as any of our CBs under Jose/Conte will look loads better in this first XI.

He’s good. Very stylish on the ball and quick. Has a lot of potential.

Were we not really interested when he was at Bristol City. Unsure how he's kicked on at Bournemouth

Like all our reserves you can only judge them when you play them with better players and not 8 other bloody subs (yea I'm still bitter)
But for me he can't be relied upon to be 3rd choice given his injury record

Because like ITK has been saying we have to sell to buy on these positions. I doubt we wanted to wait until end but reality is the market for our players hasn’t been there until today when dominoes start to fall across Europe.

I’m not sure he would though. He wouldn’t at RB and he wouldn’t as RCB as he’s not better than Sanchez and we’ve seen him struggle only the other night even next to the excellent Van De Ven and Emerson. I think our entire defensive options would struggle playing into the midfield that played that match though, so it’s hard to really say. I definitely think it’s about upgrading the squad where we can though and the likes of Tosin and Kelly are both better players than Tanganga quite comfortably and it makes perfect sense targeting them to replace Japhet to me
