Can't argue with that, although the margins really are very fine, with just 6 points covering 1st to 7th.

I knew Spurs fans were to blame. The one constant in years of underachievement. Keep ‘em out.

This is what I’ve been saying. If we win the league with no fans we should be told to do one.

Waste of time and money building the stadium then really. Should have just played home matches at Hotspur Way. Levy out!

Imagine when theres only a handful of fans in, and there aren't thousands to drown out Entitled Eddie's groans and comments of "you're all shit" ?

There’s a lot to be said for positive support of your team even when they’re not playing well. The players are all human and being criticized, boo’d whilst playing is never ever going to help.

i appreciate disappointment amongst fans, but from someone who has had to perform on front of crowds, there is nothing like the energy that you can feed off as a player/performer.

Yes it can be a two way street, entertainers have to entertain, but unlike a show that might be flat, sport players need that extra % that a positive/ supportive crowd can bring.

so to all those who do go back into the stadiums, you lucky few. Do us proud! Cheer the team on even if our backs are to the wall!! We are too if the table and we want to stay there.

let’s go Tottenham!!

Be interested to see what it looked like for the 19 games before hand.

I mean, the teams near the top are good. It's nice to see we are top on the basis os the last 19 games, but I don't think a lack of fans is very relevant to this table at all. For us, our improvement after lockdown is more connected to having fewer injuries and more time for coaching.

Apart from that, the only real surprise is West ham, and maybe, Southampton. I'd argue that Southampton have been threatening to be very decent for some time now and things have just come together a little bit more. It might also help that it might be 'calmer' to play their style without fans and that extra pressure, but I don't think it'd make a big difference.

West Ham, I can buy that, they are used to playing in a soulless environment even when fans are about, so maybe they do have an advantage!

I think we are missing the point here. It’s much more palatable not actually watching a Mourinho team play. If we all there at the game the team would realise how rubbish the tactics really are by the reaction of the crowd. Without us there they can assume it’s the right way to play.
