Not sure he'd suit our system, wages too high, wouldn't move unless he was guaranteed a starting spot and Chelsea wouldn't sell anyway. Apart from those issues I'd say he's nailed on to join though.

They need him to fight the relegation battle. Not safe yet

Wont happen. Great player but also heard from a mate at Chelsea that his hamstrings are gone very injury prone.

Don't know about his hamstrings, but when we looked at him previous(his cheap buy out clause) his medical history and potential insurance were very much an issue.

Interesting.

I wonder if a relegation threatened team in desperate need for goals will overlook those injury problems and take a gamble?

I remember something about a heart defect on his history...Was that it?

Was that not also the case for Demba Ba? I know it makes no difference to us but, if my memory isn't letting me down, he had report after report suggesting he had extremely dodgy knees,(I think it was knees?) But someone (Newcastle?) took a gamble on him & he never seemed to have any issues. Well nothing that prevented him from playing.

Or am I just confusing him with Remy?

Would definitely take him on loan if we couldn't secure a long term target. Can't see Chelsea dealing with us though.

But surely he's already at one? No need to move then.

No point in signing a back up that is constantly injured. No doubting his quality but he is the French equivalent of Anderton.

Yeah but could maybe be applied to Walker & Dembele, who weren't much better until Poch came in & waved his magic wand?

All these so called injury prone players we don't want, always seem to stay injury free after someone else signs them

Funny you say that because Remy has already missed 32 days with a groin injury (7 games) and 22 days (5 games) with a calf injury while he's been at Chelsea.

So absolutely nothing to do with his dodgy knees or ticker then!
