4 goals in 11 games was a decent return and i think that and the rest of what he did on the pitch made him a decent short term Pav replacement, i would think we will release him officially when the TW opens, hopefully we'll have a deal done for Ade by then with Leandro talks looking very positive.

If Saha is gone for sure then it means we must have some progress on strikers. I know we have struggled to sign strikers for the past however many transfer windows when it was obvious that we need one or two but I honestly don't believe that Levy would handcuff himself so much in negotiations by only having one striker on the books in Defoe who is looking to leave anyway.

Saha is a free agent at the end of the month anyway, so if anything we've just told him we wont be offering him another contract.
