I wasn't going for who I wanted at all, hence Klinsmann and Allegri were on the list, just a guess within the parameters of the information given.

I would love for Klopp to be an option, but there many reasons as why I don't think we'd even bother trying.
Just checking! (y)

As Jet set said we have our number one target and there are four more in the frame, sorry guys, but I am not getting into the guessing game. Have been told we should know soon after season ends.

Thanks for the info........If the announcement comes after the season ends, it most likely means that our next Head Coach/Manager are still tied to a club; still playing in league (which ever league that is)......So i guess we can leave LVG out......it does not make sense for his appointment to be announced after season ends in mid-may and not now (when he still has to lead Netherlands in the WC)......With the club being a Joke, week in and week out for Spurs, i cannot fathom the Club is withholding announcing the appointment of LVG till season ends, when the Dutch FA has already announced his (LVG) successor...

No. Lots of QPR-fans want him gone, and they've got a pretty good team for the Championship. They have collapsed a bit like we did every spring. He had an amazing team when he managed us, and did a good job, but I don't think he'll succed without players like Luka, Gaz and Rafa. He only used 14-15 of the guys in the squad, even tho we had 17-18 real good players. He talked a lot of bullshit, talked bad about us fans and the England-thing.

I appreciate what he did, he did what he could with us and I think we parted ways att the right time.
The "England thing" is unforgivable IMO.

I have no problem in him wanting it. But IIRC there were a lot of pretty reliable reports that he'd essentially already deserted the club, wasn't turning up to training etc. That's the behaviour of a ****, and Hodgson's appointment gave me several gallons of schadenfreude tbh.

i find it funny how these journos are now coming up with this lvg told friends a while ago spurs is not for him, why did they not tell us this back then. I think we are just going to have to wait and see, i still hope it is lvg as looking at the rest of the managers on the betting list its quite depressing bar fdb.

How is it a depressing list?

Fans don't realise how as a club we're really in a very good position, the club gets taken for granted far too often.

Agree with above. The silence over our future manager suggests to me it is someone still under contract, so we're doing the honourable thing and not letting it into the public domain.
This rules out Laudrup and Allegri as there'd be no need to keep it under wraps. Also Van Gaal, as although he is under contract, it is also well known he is off after the World Cup.
Only other thing I can think of, seeing Greyfox's comment, target number 1 (Van Gaal) maybe hasn't decided, so until he does, no announcement. Plan b, Pochettino or De Boer, and as an outright guess, Pochettino not commenting versus De Boer previously stating an interest, makes me think it may actually be the former. Silence speaks volumes, confident it's wrapped up, whereas whoring you're interest into the media smacks of someone still trying win the job.

Because I'm managing Director of my own business, and I've worked at or near board level of other businesses and that is how things work! So where does this idea of yours of strictly de-marked, you do this and I don't get involved, and I do this and no one else gets involved type roles come from?

It's called "Mullers makes shit up" - he decided long ago how Levy and the Tottenham board operate, and no attempt to bring common sense or real life experience into the equation will disuade him from this view - he made it up, now his mind's made up.

@JamieJackson___: Van Gaal told friends a little while ago Spurs was not for him...
I guess Ruud Gullit isn't one of his friends then.

Not announcing the new manager until the end of the season doesn't rule out LVG as Levy might be waiting until then to get rid of Tim.

Lets hope LVG doesn't try and take Verts and Eriksen to United. Even more reason for us to get FdB in A.S.A.P.
