Only if Everton can't take 3pts from their last 2 games and also assuming we can win both of ours. Frankly, I would be surprised.

Everton also haven't spent 100m on players.
Neither have Everton had to endure the shambles Spurs have been through this season nor have they had the number of serious injuries we have had to key players

So I take it that you wouldn't want Klopp or Simone either then? Neither of them have ever won a game in the premier league

I never said I didn't want fdb just that I don't agree that he's more proven than poch

We spent 100m on a squad so that injuries shouldn't be an excuse and its not as if Everton haven't had any either. They are faltering at the finish line due to defensive issues.

We did spend that much so injuries wouldn't be an excuse, but injuries turns into excuses in this situation when you have around 10 players injured at one time which Im pretty sure we had at one or two points during the season

Ok, I shall put it another way! Would you rather have Pochettino over Lvg, Klopp or pep as he is more proven than any of them in the premier league?

How was Poch arguably the same? In what universe?

Because he has them playing really well and now people are thinking its where they should be regardless...its the biggest misconception in football at the moment.

In the universe where saints were 15th when adkins was sacked and when poch took over for the 2nd half of the season finished 14th. The reason I said arguably the same is that then this season he has been able to spend and did well with his signings loveren, boruc etc. Right now that's bought them 11 extra points. If adkins was given that money to spend I'd say he would have been better off too, he was on a run of only 2 defeats in 12 when he was sacked. So that's arguable, and that's in our universe although I'm not sure where you're living.

The only place they were heading under Adkins was a relegation battle. Since Pochettino has arrived they've looked and been a top half side playing infinitely better football. Only Lovren has really made a big difference in terms of the signings he's made. Had Pochettino been in charge from the off last season I'm sure they would of finished comfortably in the top half last season to.

So no its not arguable, you're miles off.

No the others have proven it at a higher level and 2 of them in different countries and 2 have had some success at teams who aren't the strongest in their league

Everton have been hit by big injuries as well
Lukaku was injured so played Naismith up front
Deulofeu out for a couple months
Miralles out
Barkley got a big injury and he hasn't hit that form since
Kone hardly played all season
Traore hamstring injury played 1 game
Oveido broken leg
Miralles in and out of the team
Gibson ligament damage missed most if not all season
Pienaar cartilage injury missed a large chunk of the season
Jagielka has been injured and so has ...
Alacaraz which led to Stones playing alot with a 36year old CB

They have the biggest injury list at the moment

Well Poch arrived in Jan, so he did nothing for basically half a season. He finished 14th, thats only 4 places above the drop and missed relegation by 2 points. Adkins had saints only losing 2 in 12 games before his sacking which at the time If I remember was pretty much greeted with confusion.

It certainly is arguable, I am not going to get into a debate about if's and but's, I like to debate on whats actually happened. Using if's is a fallacy. They both basically had a half a season each and both were down there.

I cant deny that saints play some lovely football at times but its very tippy tappy imo, and what Poch has that is against him is that if Plan A isnt working, then, well, all there is is Plan A.

It's not just that, take a look at the players Ajax have lost over the past few seasons and the amount of money Ajax has spent.
Ajax have always had to sell players to survive you can go back as far as cruyff, then the van hasten etc
The team of 95 was completely dismantled and sold kluivert, seedorf etc

As for the comments we spent £100 million not to suffer from injury situations that's just crazy, players will always get injured at the training ground the other week with my son getting autographs the security guard approached and said only the injured players are here as the rest are on a day off and my son ended up with 11 autographs
We have had a terrible amount of injuries at various times this season
