He has got a lot of very good qualities that you would be looking for in a defender. Worth noting that a majority of these highlights are against 2nd tier opposition as Vasco had been relegated the year previous. Back in Serie A now so be wise to keep an eye on him as it can be a funny league at times with players fading in and out.

Liverpool went on a very hot run of form this year when playing three at the back. Like most formations, it can be effective with the right personnel.

And even then it doesn't seem to work. If it was such an excellent idea why have no successful club adopted that formation?
Some of you seem to think by just adopting that formation it will solve all Spurs' problems, offensive as well as defensive ones as if none of the world's top coaches have ever thought of it...
