Playing first, away to one of the weakest teams in the league. With an opportunity to go top in October for the first time in what feels like forever.

What can go wrong, eh??...
That's the pessimistic Spurs I'm missing this season....

Luton to win 1-0 against a seven man Tottenham side, by a 119 minute goal from a diving header by the 4th official, running off towards the camera, lifting his shirt to reveal a 'We love you Liverpool!- from all at the PGMOL' t-shirt underneath.

Which players have played for both clubs in the David Pleat derby?

I can only think off Mitchell Thomas, Paul Walsh and Scott Houghton.

This match scares the shit out of me. This is the real litmus test with regards to us being “Spurs, and a little bit more.”

Play full strength team then take off those with minor jiggles (madders, son etc) ONLY when with have a good goals cushion (ie 3 nil up)

Caught a bit of a break with them having their postponed game being rescheduled for tomorrow. Tomorrow is a much bigger game for them against relegation rivals.

Did that style of hat ( a boater?) on their badge come before or after Elton John?
Luton was the main centre of ladies' hat production in the UK for over 200 years, with surrounding towns and villages across Bedfordshire. Hence the nickname 'The Hatters'.

My hunch this is going to be a bit harder than we expect
Has the potential to be a bit like the Sheffield Utd game, or the 2nd half against Liverpool - they'll happily let us have a lot of possession, while packing their own defensive third with bodies. As long as they have something to hold on to, they could be a tough nut to crack.

As City showed at Molineux on Saturday - even with all the attacking talent in the world, a stubborn low block can be extremely frustrating to play against. Sometimes you just have to be patient and trust that opportunities will come eventually.

I agree. We're going to have to come up with a better plan for breaking down low blocks, judging by how late it needed to be against Sheff Utd and Liverpool.

We 100% need to keep our foot on the floor and go after them to keep the momentum up.

Oliver who was 4th official against pool will be on VAR this weekend. What's the chance of Spurs getting a decision out of VAR this weekend?

If you are talking about "evening it out" I'd say Var can't afford any more controversy. They'll be very much by the book this weekend I'd imagine.

Hope we play a lot better than my two visits to Kenilworth Rd when we played really poorly, might have had something to do with the surroundings.
Reminds me of a joke on stadiums , if the TV commentator says "This historic ground " what he/she really means is "This old run down dump"

Patience is the last thing I want to see. I want a load of long range shots from Porro, Son, Madders and Sarr (yes, even him) and players getting wide and driving the ball low and hard across the box. (need Johnson for this one). None of this passing the ball from side to side in front of the first line of four.
