The last couple of years if we had gone down to 10 men, we would have just gone back to defending and forgotten about trying to win it. Completely different mindset now thanks to Ange!

Massive win... they way it happened. What a team and what a manager 💪💪 ... learn from this and we will be even stronger in the future. COYS
Big win. Before kick off a draw would've been a bad result. No excuses we just had to find a way to win & we did. As you said we have to learn from this. Should have been a comfortable win & stupid from Bissouma, but to miss chances, have Son have a real off day, go down to 10 at nil nil & still get a win is very, very promising

If Son got injured, i'd be really tempted to try Kulusevski up front with 2 of Johnson, Bryan and Solomon either side. And honestly, I even fancy Veliz as an option over Richarlison at the moment.

Veliz was great when he came on.

Aerially a beast with good movement

Kulu really took responsibility today. Impressive. Not just a good player but intelligent and mentally strong. Ran all day too.

It hasn't been every week? We comfortably beat United, Bournemouth and Burnley. We dominant over Sheffield United even if it took a last minute winner and same with Liverpool. Last minute or not we were comfortable without scoring.

Today was only difficult because we went down to ten. Prior to that we were by far the superior side and should have been out of sight.
That post was flippancy on my part tbf and maybe I'm misremembering but I do believe we haven't yet seen a totally comfortable, dominant win. That's obviously due to adjusting to the new system, new manager, new players etc and we've had a tough couple of games, fully believe we'll get there eventually.

Just nice to be doing well and enjoying the games for the moment.

Why was the first half poor? We were cutting through them with such ease, we just couldn't finish. I don't see how that is "poor"?
Because the finishing lacked care, concentration and professionalism imo. Then we went into our shell a bit and made a few silly decisions later in the half.

I hope our fans aren't getting their hopes up too early in the process. On second thought, the better phrase "I hope our fans aren't getting their expectations up too early in the process". Ange has done extremely well changing the mindset and putting a system of play that is better suited to the players. We will stumble and i worry that some of our "fans" or whatever they consider themselves will turn on the team or individual players over an individual mistake when we show that we're still a work in progress.

Brilliant. Awesome.
we didn’t fold. We learnt tons today.
We’ll use this as an opportunity to learn to be more careful around yellow cards.
We’ll keep these memories next time we need a big defensive effort
we’ve learnt so much today.
Ange has so so much to work with from today. It’s much easier to address certain nuances in the game when they get so blatantly revealed, like today.
But the boys dug in, got the goal. Win the match

Top the league ⭐️

Spurs get a "lucky" win against Liverpool.
Up against a newly promoted team in a tiny ground with the opposition fans breathing down your neck.
Chance to go top of the league and put the pressure on the other teams.
Missing chances early on, maybe not our day.
Then down to 10 for the whole of the second half.

We've all read this script before . . .

Relief.

Did our best to make things hard for ourselves, but toughed it out second half, found a way to win, and got the three points you'd think, with respect, this game should really be and comes off the back of good results in the two tough games proceeding it and hammers home a good start to the season .

A lot to learn, but on to the next one.

Richarlison scores his two chances, Porro too and that is a very comfortable game.

What an effort boys.
Romero and VDV colossal.
Sarr, Kulisevski and Porro unbelievable efoort and running.

Over the next few seasons we will all be asking who are the better pair Romero and Micky of Toby and Verts.

I am so impressed with these two so far this season.

Not good for the nerves but nice to see 2 sides of our games. It's a shame we didn't score with the chances first half but some of the football was beautiful. 2nd half we showed we can dig deep and defend. Still gave up some good chances though. I feel times like this we needed wingers like Johnson and Gil who can help the fullbacks more. That was my main concern with the overloads out wide. Our starting wide attackers don't do that as they're inside forwards.
