I keep hearing "we don't win that last season"

I'll go one better. We don't win that game if they score more than us.

Big win and good battling from the squad to bail Bissouma out.

Appreciate it was 'only' Luton but playing any team away from home, knowing that a win will put you top of the table is mentally difficult, iresspective of who you're playing. We were in a similar situtation in 16/17 after 8 games, playing in the early k/o against Bournemouth where a win would have sent us top, however, the players struggled to get going and it ended 0-0 and we missed the chance to go top (despite coming second with 86 points, we were never actually top of the table that year).

Add in the fact we won the second half down to 10 men, makes it even more impressive and should give us some belief we can take our chances if our rivals slip-up throughout the season.

That is why Son and Maddison come off before Kulusevski. I don't think they could have replicated what Decky did in that last 30 miniutes.
I was a bit surprised and concerned with those substitutions but Ange got it spot on. It made us much more solid without going too defensive. Kulusevski was immense from that point on.

I genuinely wasn't nervous towards the end of that game, once we brought on Skipp, Emerson and Davies along with Hojbjerg we really did not look concerned and by the end they had nothing. No relief at the end just satisfaction.
Should have strolled it but for abysmal chance taking but we proved ourselves for different reasons today, every week we learn something more about ourselves.

Don't get the Luton being unlucky line.

They were lucky we couldn't finish our dinner.

Richarlison with two huge chances and the Porro one as well.

We had other chances but they were pick of the bunch.

The sending off lifted them and we dug in.

They had a huge chance to equalise and fucked it.

Overall we created more high end chances and deserved the 3 points.

I'm glad we didn't take the game for granted, with the superb start to the game, we should have taken the chances. Citeh won the league while still losing to Norwich, so no match is a given in the league.

Going top of the league is a huge testament and mentality Big Ange is building in the team. The lads this time round are really special. They are relishing it quietly. Levy has to absolutely back him on the winter window if we are really having the momentum to do something special at the end of the season.

Some strong performances out there today when we had to defend and a big performance from Deki.
Biss needs to apologise to all his mates for putting them under pressure with a ridiculous dive for the second yellow.
Good change at half time by Ange and expect he will have a quiet word with Biss , also a bit dissapointed at the end when PEH was a bit unprofessional going down like that and reducing us down to nine men for 30 seconds or so.

I think TBF to Hojbjerg, he didn't expect the ref to ask him leave the field for 'treatment' of he's 'injured'. He wishes to get up immediately and carry on the play but he has to exit the game for that moment.

Easily could've had that game won after 10 minutes. Went exactly as I thought it would after those missed chances.

Fairplay to Luton they grew into the game after that and were unlucky in the end.

Happy to get away from the early kick-off with 3 points can enjoy my weekend now.
Luton werent unlucky at the end. I don’t think they deserved anything from the game really. They were lucky it wasn’t 3 nil within 10 minutes.

A great result considering the circumstances. Luton look like relegation fodder tbh not to take advantage of our situation was pretty poor from them. Just shows the mentality Ange has brought in and it's making such a difference. No way in the past would we have got a win like today. Top of the league and can now sit back and see what our rivals can muster tomorrow.

On a side note that kit we wore today, well I can see why they reduced it recently. Not quite to the level of the Pony one we had in the 90s past that use to fade in the collar after a wash, dreadful lol COYS!
