Rumoured to be either Everton going into administration or United being taken over by Arabs. Would make sense if it is either of these as The Guardian are shit hot when it comes to financial stories.

I know Everton aren't exactly minted right now, but they've got enough to stay afloat. More likely is that United story - that laughing gnome and his tribe have been mighty quiet this year, i can see that happening

That's interesting.. I'm not sure about the Everton situation, it would explain why they haven't been extending contracts properly though. Coleman only got an extension last week and he was going to be out of contract in the summer.

They obviously couldn't afford to keep Pienaar for the six months and had to take the paltry £2m we gave them.

I think it'd be a shame for them to go into administration, though. Aren't they the only club who've never been relegated?

It was the Bale story. The Guardian were talking about this (quote) 'major story' and are now being ripped apart for it. It was a non-story that they overhyped hugely.

the story was the 5.30 session of mass breaking wind as everyone leaves the office. No wonder the tube reaks.

Salgado has signed a new deal at Blackburn, no-one saw that coming.
