Evidence gets discarded because it was illegally obtained and/or due process wasn't followed all the time. This is far from just a CAS or football thing.

Well yes but this isn't a criminal court and the case isn't one brought by a sovereign government. There's no bar against illegally obtained evidence in English civil law, for example.
Those evidence burdens are to prevent executive abuse of individual freedoms.
