The sun saying some players are unhappy that hitch and fab are on the bench as they can't speak freely and they don't like them shouting. Sounds like bullshit to me.

I would say that the majority of negative articles that appear in the Sun this season will be a result of Kane not moving on this summer. It is probably bollocks on that basis. Personally, I cant believe anyone would believe it after what nonsense that paper has written about the club over the last three months.

Or even why anyone still reads that sh1tty rag!
They make up more than any other publication that I can see and report it as fact!
If I could place a publication on ignore it would be that one.

There’s obviously one main source which is supplying the sun, the club needs to find who it is and get rid.

H _ _ _ Y _ I N _ _

Anyway I quite like the way Fab is trying to get the whole coaching/medical staff behind the team rather than just Nuno and his assistant.

Not sure what you’d call it but we need this siege mentally. Us versus the world. All the winning teams have it.

Paratici should be looking to bring Lee Mack in as backup striker. Free agent and has proven he can score in the big game. More titles than Kane too :cautious:

Anyone thinking the Sun have made this up, simply because they don’t like the publication or the story is mistaken I’m afraid.

A friend of mine was working there quite recently. Every Journalist has to disclose their anonymous sources to the shift editor, or it won’t get run.

Most have it in their contracts that lying to their editor about stories or quotes will result in immediate dismissal and liability for damages. The shift editor also stands to loose his or her job if they’ve not done so.

Where I’m told the story may be misleading is perhaps intimating that the source is closer to the action than they really are. Their educated guess is it’s most likely an agent with an agenda, which is where most of these stories come from.

Any guesses who that could be? I’m stumped on this one…

Could be complete bollocks but wouldn’t surprise me if it is true. While a large majority of fans like to see the “passion” etc from hitchin and Paratici I do find it abit cringeworthy there antics during the game.
Also can under stand why players feel they shouldn’t be on the bench whilst it’s common in European football it’s not over here and does have the air of undermining Nuno.

Can you understand why they would going crying to a newspaper about it?

I sure can't. It just makes the players look like a bunch of weak minded, pampered, petulant whinge bags.

Which is why I think the whole story is blown out of proportion, and probably by someone with an axe to grind and a profound lack of judgement and skill in shaping media narratives for his own purposes, as well as close ties to the Sun.

It's obviously Charlie Kane.

Is there really a mole in the squad? A genuine question. Why did the Sun always get to such insider shit of our squad.

Do the editors verify they're telling them the truth or us it just an editorial arse covering exercise?

It's everyone covering their arse. Owners, Editors, and Journalists.

Editors will often look at messages when pitched the story or have them confirm who said what and when, but stop short of making them take a polygraph.

The point is I'm told there's nothing casual about the process.

At every step the Journalist is conscious that in order to make something up, they would have to tell stone cold lie to their employer that X person told me Y, and risk their entire career for the sake of one small story, and that incentive vs risk simply isn't worth it.

Not when they get fed so may stories that they can run with just as easily.

Also because someone else at the paper will interact with that source eventually, particularly in football, so anyone going rogue would get found out eventually.

Who is the mole in our ranks? We have 2 players with a penchant for this bullshit. Both are named Harry. It's one of those 2 schmucks.

To be frank Para and hitchin shouldn't be near the bench. If they're going to sit there they should keep their mouths shut out of respect for the manager.
It has been stated before why they are there. Covid bubble regulations. If the players are crying about that, they can fuck off.
