Would love it if Jose went to City, the chavs would jump off battersea bridge
I wouldnt tbh, as Pelegrini would do well at City and Mourinho would do very well with the City squad whereas atm they both would have a squad they are use to

I agree, although he was an absolute beast in that final season at Arsenal.
Totally agree was one of the better players in the league and did well last season, just because he hasnt done well this season doesnt mean he is a bad player and iirc he was in the team of the year with Modric. Also the Gooners hate him and thats hilarious.

Nasri also said when he was at Arsenal that WHL is his favourite ground as he loves the atmosphere

city are being pretty unprofessional about this. either come out in the media and say he's safe or sack him already, quit messing about. it's pretty unfair to mancini tbh.

This is exactly what they did to Mark Hughes when they appointed Mancini. Absolutely no class.

The club is a circus from top to bottom, they have set about fixing it by bringing in proper football directors and the next step is to get a manager that can control the squad. His constant defence of Balotelli in the face of poor attitude/performance and causing squad unrest was embarrassing, and his use of the squad is bizarre at times. Loading up on full backs, mis-using the strikers and the negative change from last year has been quite clear. The CL experience was poor, tough group but they seemed totally unprepared and a large part of that falls to the manager.

Their summer signings last year were odd, I'm designating blame to Marwood for that though. Mancini should have been in a position to dictate which players to go for, not end up with Sinclair, Rodwell and Richard Wright.

I'm not a fan of Mancini, said as much on here before in a different thread. He acts the prick in interviews as well. City need to find the right guy to consistently get the best out of the team and prevent the in-fighting.

Would be very interesting to see what Pellegrini would do with them. He'd certainly get them more organised. If Maureen lands at the chavs this summer, I think Chelsea will win the title. Who knows what Yanited will do. Expect them to be there or thereabouts but might have a little dip in to 3rd or 4th spot.

It is with regret that Manchester City Football Club announces that Roberto Mancini has been relieved of his duties as Manchester City Manager.

This has been a difficult decision for the owner, Chairman and Board to make and it is the outcome of a planned end of season review process that has been brought forward in light of recent speculation and out of respect for Roberto and his extensive contributions to the Football Club.

Despite everyone’s best efforts, the Club has failed to achieve any of its stated targets this year, with the exception of qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League. This, combined with an identified need to develop a holistic approach to all aspects of football at the Club, has meant that the decision has been taken to find a new manager for the 2013/14 season and beyond.

Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said: “Roberto’s record speaks for itself and he has the respect and gratitude of Sheikh Mansour, myself and the Board for all of his hard work and commitment over the last three and a half years. He has clearly also secured the love and respect of our fans. He has done as he promised and delivered silverware and success, breaking the Club’s 35-year trophy drought and securing the title in 2012. I would like to personally and publicly thank him for his dedication to the progress that he has overseen and for his support and continued friendship."

Assistant Manager Brian Kidd will take interim responsibility for the remaining two games of the season and the post-season tour to the United States.

So that's three of our biggest rivals with new managers next season... Just Arsenal to go.

Idk, you have to say that his record is pretty impressive. He was basically gifted the titles at Inter due to the match fixing scandal but still his team played very well in the league and he won 6 cups in Italy. He won 62% of his games at Inter and 59% at Man City, that's a good record for any manager. I wonder what happened between last season and this season that made their performances drop so much.

It will be interesting next season. Man City, Chelsea, United, and Everton will all have new managers. That's 4 of the top 6. I wonder how it will affect things for us.

Fair enough regarding Mancini, but I've never rated him that much. I think his man management is very poor. The way he backed Balotelli was ridiculous. Although I do think City are being a bit unfair by letting it drag on.

As for the bit in bold, I think United will need time to adjust, and so will Everton. But I think City and Chelsea, providing they get the right coaches, will benefit from it.

What a strange time to announce it.

The club had no choice. Mancini openly criticised members of the board in public, including a dressing down of the Media Director at the post FA Cup Final presser. He also demanded a 'back me or sack me' please following the allegations in the press that he was going to be sacked. The source of the reports of the sacking came from Spain.

I had a read of the Bluemoon forum this morning. Someone who appears to be a respected poster on that forum claimed that pretty much most of the key players were ready to walk out if Mancini stayed. Man City has not looked a happy camp all season.

Abu Qatada is favorite to replace Mancini due to his excellent record of remaining in Europe

Apparently on of the many reasons for the sacking is because of Mancini's lack of youth development, so this make sense.
Sounds like, having blown hundreds of millions on building a title winning squad, they wanted to bring young English talent through - which would be required for ratio purposes. I guess the signing of Sinclair, followed by him not ever playing is just further evidence.

Pellegrini's record isn't exactly shining though - £200 million on 4 players at Real Madrid (including Ronaldo & Kaka), yet won nothing. Did better on limited budget at Malaga......
