God no.

Literally every time he plays for Barcelona they concede wayyy more than they otherwise would. I know there is a group of people on Twitter who just bet the over ___ goals when he is in the starting lineup.

I've never been impressed with BaRtra.

The most amusing memory I have of him is Bale racing past him and jumping over Gatorade bottles & a couple of physio bags during the Spanish Cup final a couple of years ago

He was actually on our radar 3-4 seasons ago - according to ITK I got ages ago.

If he's fed up with bench warming where he is, then it's a waste of time coming to Spurs.

When fit we have 2 definite starters in Jan and Toby. Wimmer and Dier both excellent first back-ups.

At present still have Fazio and Veljokovic - though how long for in both cases not sure.

and then have CCV. May be young and untested, but would surely start before Batra, who is untried in English football.

Don't see where he fits - sorry

He's just not very good.

He looks pretty good to me. Fast in the tackle and distributes the ball well - albeit from YouTube clips.

I'd be very happy if Bartra is brought in as Fazio's replacement. Then again I know that you're a great believer in Fazio's talent (at least you were when he joined us) and so I understand why you might not be so pleased with a player that might be brought in to replace him.

I do believe in Fazio's talent - just not with us. Pretty clear distinction.

He'd fit well with any team employing a low block.

On Bartra, he gets skinned way too easily.

He's borderline 6ft and skinny, not suited to the EPL. In saying that, he's been decent when he's featured for Barca this season but prior to this season he was pants.

If he is available and that good Seville would not come in Fazio

To be honest, 2 years ago when we were first linked to alderwerield, most Spurs fans had a similar opinion of Toby - slow, not good enough etc.

Turns out he's one of the best we've had.

The name Kevin Wimmer hardly set pulses racing as an exciting signing, but so far he's proving a very astute buy, got to have faith in our scouts.

Loan only. If he plays well in cup games, then we can look to make it permanent in the summer.

Wouldn't this be more of a fazio replacement?

Especially if Verts is injured for a while.

Makes sense in the fact Vertonghen may be injured more seriously than we'd hope, unclear at the minute, and Pochettino clearly doesn't fancy using Fazio.
Alderweireld and Wimmer are our only for senior Centre Back's currently, plus Dier obviously, but he's been utilised in midfield.
So should the club look to someone like Bartra to reinforce? Or should they look in house, Veljkovic wants game time, and if bought into the squad now, would likely sign that new deal. Equally Carter-Vickers is highly thought of. Is giving those two opportunities better for us than spending, a quoted £11m, on Bartra.
As a loan of Jan is crocked, maybe, but even then I'd be inclined to go in-house.
