Reports emerging in Rome(apparently Roma target) say that we are interested in 20 year old Dinamo Zagreb attacking mifielder Marcelo Brozovic. He signed a 7 year contract last season with Zagreb it seems .

Last time I watched him play was few days ago against Rijeka and he was terrible, wasted lot of balls, had one good shot from long range, but that was it. One of the worst players on the pitch. There are several better midfielders in Dinamo and I hope that this is not true. Also that Alfredo guy isn't reliable I think. And Brozovic was born in 1992 not 1991. And I wish this site would let me upload "Michael Scott God No.gif".

Is he actually an attacking midfielder, or does he play deeper in a Sandro/Dembele role?

He is a CM, supposed to be able to sit deep and distribute passes and score some goals. He actually has a good shot for a midfielder, lot of stamina, but he is average at everything else. Dinamo is trying to get rid of him, he wore number 77 IIRC against Rijeka, that's how much he is rated there. Poor version of Pamic who plays for Dinamo who is also not good enough for us.

There's a difference - a huge one in fact - between signing some cheap player and signing a bargain buy (like Benteke last season)

Lets agree that you're putting words in my mouth. I said he looked OK on a Youtube vid, I didnt claim to know the player or that I had seen him play, you're the one ruling out a player that you probably haven't seen play. If you really think we're going to fill out our squad with the likes of "Pastore, Willian, Jackson Martinez and Thomas Muller" you're living in cloud cuckoo land.
