Most players of his quality would be unhappy at a team which is 13th in the table and within 5 points from the drop. Though in fairness it is his childhood team.
Brilliant, think he is awesome. Any 'bad' he does is outweighed by a lot of good. A scamp no doubt. Would love him at spurs.

Yes please

Awesome talent, if there's any chance we should go for it (I see nil chance!) He could play with Ade or Soldado, or up top by himself

Such a nutter & he would probably get on well with Walker and Sandro, they'd be the Three Stooges LOL

Not saying id do it or if the club would even consider it but the lure of lamela plus some cash might tempt them i reckon.

Who cares about his character when he's a potentially world class striker? He's only like 22 too.

Perfect summary of what is wrong with modern day football. If you have talent everything can be excused or forgotten no matter how bad.

Don't know if that's a 'modern football' problem Gazza, Cantona, Best, Maradonna and many others have had their personal quirks excused because of their talent.

A lot of the old school Brazilian players also had their fair share of off the pitch issues, such as the guy in my avatar.

What has he done that's really bad? He's never raped anyone and people wanted Remy here. He's never bitten anyone on the pitch but people wanted Suarez. He might act like a child sometimes but he's only 23 years old. Plus, 95% of the players in the EPL aren't as charitable as he is.

Why does every club he plays for want to get rid if he is not really a problem ?

Hahaha, give off. Do you want to win trophies, or do you want to make friends?

Balotelli isn't half as bad as people like to imagine either. A few reckless tackles/stamps/moments which can't be excused, but he's not the first and certainly not the last to do such when so young. His attitude is overplayed too. Not nearly as bad as people believe.

The story has resurrected...
Mancini and van Gaal have both been strongly linked to the Spurs job. I am sure they both would, errr "love" to work with such a "rebel" ;)

Reports - Tottenham line up shock swoop for former Man City striker

Tottenham are lining up a shock swap-deal to bring Mario Balotelli back to England, according to reports in Italy.

Tuttosport claim Spurs are still on the hunt for a world-class goal scorer and the former Manchester City man, now at AC Milan, is high on their agenda.

Out-of-favour winger Erik Lamela is the man mooted as the possible makeweight in a deal that would take the Argentine winger back to Italy, bringing an end to the disappointing spell he has endured since he left Roma last summer.

Balotelli was a divisive character in England under Roberto Mancini at City but Tottenham's technical director Franco Baldini believes he can get the best out of the Italy international.

He can be brilliant, questionable character but maybe after the club moves he has made he may just want to focus on his football and be happy at a club

I imagine this is just made up rumours that might have had more credence if Prandelli was lined up as our new coach, but I guess he might be looking for a move and I think he could prove a great addition even if character wise a bit of a gamble

I don't want to lose Lamela as I think he can be a great player for us however if he is unhappy and wants to move back to Italy then it could be a good deal, although Milan might need to sell themselves to Lamela who would probably be interesting other better placed clubs in Serie A were we to think of selling

Just frickin' brilliant. Was he one of the reasons Ade threw a wobbly and eventually left City? Maybe he misses his old mate....
