Easy to aim high when you're so low.
I think tomorrows game is pivotal for both us and Everton in terms of this seasons EPL

Win and join the likes of Arsenal just off the CL pace (although having had a lot of easy fixtures and many harder ones to come) but lose or even draw and start looking rather cut adrift in midtable

We're lucky in as far as the teams above us have almost been as poor as we have but I really think unless we win tomorrow we're pretty much destined for a midtable finish this year

Win and at least we'll be keeping on the tail of where we want to be

4 home defeats in six, a mishmash of foreign mercenaries, a chairman who knows fuck all about continuity and a director of football who is paid
to headhunt the most expensive agents-- yes champions league here we come.

This just about takes the award for carefully worded spin:

...Tottenham also are rising steadily up the Premier League table, winning five of their last six matches.

Factually correct. Utterly misleading.

This quote from Martinez.. is either genuine.. or.. reverse physiology there by putting pressure on us, by players thinking we are better than Everton, so not try as hard to beat them, and we loose ...
