And Keano would do stuff like that every week.Yes! Love it.

It was a tough choice this season. There's usually one goal that really stands out for me, but any one of those eight could have won.
Whilst it was crap goalkeeping, Rooney striking that ball the way he did is one of the most incredible bits of technique I've seen.Except Rooney’s imo. It’s mainly shit goalkeeping. Never really rate goals from their own half, proper overrated specimen.

I scored from the halfway line in a cup final a few years back and it was not from a ball pinged into me by their 'keeper, where hitting it included a huge margin of error, yet I'd still fancy myself to miss Rooney's chance 95% of the time.Nah, overrated. Get me on a football pitch against a backtracking Hart and I’ll bury it 9 times out of 10.
Then again, I do have unbelievable swaz
This one?

Agree, but what I find even less impressive is that every year the Goal of the year competition is just about people whacking the ball. It's the least meritorious candidate for honour of all goals scored. It usually involves no great technique at all, it's just putting your foot through the fucking thing, giving it large and hoping it goes on target. Any player on the pitch can score those goals. There are odd exceptions, where some nice technique is involved but mostly those thunderbastards are just more about whack and hope.
Finishes that require some mental and physical dexterity are far more worthy awards IMO.
My favourite goal of ours this season was Eriksen's against Everton, where we pinged the ball around half the team in a sweeping counter and Eriksen finished off the move. Poetry.
Boufal's was brilliant individual goal, I would easily have accepted him winning, but I just loved the purity of that Vardy goal, and anyone who's played any football knows the technical difficulty of what he did was extremely hard to get that pure, and I liked the ball from Mahrez too.
Ah, I see what you did thereFive a side games don't really count.
Unpopular players don't win awards.cant believe it wasnt Boufal. Reminded me of Maradona's "goal of the century"
That was a great goal, but it wasn't even my favourite goal that day, the fourth when he dribbles round VDS tickled me even more.
Such a shame about Keane, was a brilliant finisher, more naturally talented and technically gifted than Kane, and if he had any bollocks or half the mentality of Kane he'd have been absolute world class.
