Wasn't there an article that explained how Falcao's agents and partial owners decided where he would play?? iirc Atl madrid recieved only a percentage of the 55m fee
I wonder if how similar are these cases. To begin with, the fact that the first article linking us with Musacchio mentioned his agent doing the negotiations says things may not be like we think

Edit: found it http://www.therichest.com/sports/so...l-falcao-controlled-by-third-party-ownership/

Because of the whole third party ownership nonsense I can't see this happening, funny though because you know some fans will still vent their frustration on Levy lol

If someone will give up something it will be his agent. It's also worth mentioning that in the legal papers the 30% remaining it's not under the agents name but under a company's name (Rio Football Services Holland BV)

And therein lies the Rosebud.

The epiphany.

The solution to this mystery.

A quick search of RFSHBV reveals that Musacchio's agent, ultimately, is Pini Zahavi.

Which means $$$$$$$ and double dealing rule.

Because you would expect an otherwise intelligent and successful businessman would have learned the less years ago, these deals are a hiding to nowhere and should be avoided.
Unless he has learned exactly this and pursues these players knowing he'll never her anywhere.......

I actually disagree with people having a go at Villareal. They have a price, same as any other team... the 35% doesn't actually come into it from that perspective! Say they decide the player is worth 10m for themselves to keep and we're offering 20m for the whole package. Then they would only get 7m which doesn't meet their asking price so they say - either River or the agent give up some of their fee (but still profit) and we accept the deal or you up your offer and we get 10m anyway and accept the deal. Why should they then accept less than what the player is worth to the team?

That's my opinion anyway. Figures are all hypothetical.
The problem is two-fold, firstly they signed the deal to bring MM in knowing they would only get a percentage of his resale value, secondly they know this will mean that you will not be able to get all you believe he is worth.

The guy that represents Joao Moutinho, that's a good omen. Oh, well, only a couple of weeks until the window closes.

According to La Sexta TV, Musacchio is likely to stay now as Villareal have rejected our latest offer for him. #bollocks #COYS

edit: La Sexta are described as on a par with Neil Easton lol

Nobody is on a par with Neil Eatson. I'll never forget him talking about how good Gio dos Santos was looking in training...only for someone to point out he had been in Mexico with the international squad for weeks :D

13 days ago, I read some positive ITK from JJ (can't remember what it was exactly) whilst in traffic, on the way to Cornwall. Things looked good regarding the transfer, things looked fast.

I'm currently stuck in traffic, on the way back from Cornwall and it seems like the transfer is stuck too!

I agree here that I dont think it will happen either.
But if that means we don't get a CB to partner Verts then I think Levy & Baldini deserve the blame.
After LB it was the 2nd position to address and it seems we have only 1 option.
Surely there are other adequate CBs out there...?
