Ugh, I hate how much I want us to get him.

I have a huge optimistic feeling we can land him, but there's that part of me that expects it to totally fuck up.

The good news is: in comparison to our usual fuck ups, this one still has plenty of time before the deadline to fix itself - Rather than getting fucked up ON the deadline.

Finally got to that Barca video. I mean, you can't tell much from one game highlights but what I gathered was this:

1) Fuck me, he's first to every ball and block. Very quick mind, good positioning too.
2) He's good in the air. Powerful headers, good blocks usually because of his positioning. Could struggle with some of the really powerful prem players in the air because of his height, but then we have other options we can utilise in those games.
3) He's quick. Not Walker quick, but good enough off the mark and determined running which puts off strikers. Outdid neymar in one clip there as I recall.
4) He's gonna make mistakes. Its just the nature of his game, he really tries to nick everything so occasionally its gonna go wrong.
5) He's good with his feet. Good technique running with the ball.
6) His passing is *****. Needs to play it short a lot more. If people get frustrated with Daws' passing then his is worse because they're not vaguely accurate either. BUT this shouldn't be an issue as I'm sure he can pass short and, when coached correctly, all he needs to do is slip it to Walker/Verts/LB/DM anyway. They can do the rest.

Overall very impressed, but that is just one game. To anyone who's seen him more regularly, are those 6 points along the right lines?

Never seen him play to be fair. Is he Argie and how come he's not in their Intl squad if he's that good

He should be in their squad, but the coach has his favourites as most do. Most people believe he should have been at the WC though

In my opinion Musacchio is far superior to Lovren. Won't be as much as £20M either

Plus Poch has seen Lovren close up for a season at Soton, and according to the rumours, targetted Musacchio early into his Spurs career.

As a RCB, Musacchio is a better fit alongside Jan than Lovren.

Getting a player like Musacchio (if we get him) is not just a case of having the cash to make an offer that'll be accepted. It's also about timing and what your rivals are up to. The Scousers aren't in for another expensive CB because they've just signed Lovren and already have Agger, Skretel & Kolo Toure.

Odd that we might pay circa 20M for a CB with no premier league experience but we scoffed at 20M Lovren
Well seeing as Poch coached Lovren I'm very confident in him picking on over the other.

I noted the fact that I have no idea what in fuck he's saying.
He's saying the following: Spurs are interested in him, but clubs are far from each other. The player got a contract to 2018. Release clause = 50M Euros. Villareal get 35% of the fee. Nothing new tbh. Afaik, Petter Veland is reliable source. He's a La Liga expert.

More reliable than the Villarreal manager and JJetset?

I think not.
