For a deal that has been supposedly in the works for weeks, I imagine that we have been negotiating with the Agent and River on the price, and then once they agreed, we sprung the deal on Villarreal. Since they are the team actually losing the player, it probably came as a bit of a shock, and so they have dug in their heels a bit.

Don't see that we'd have come this far on the transfer (ie. Him not playing at the weekend, their coach talking like he's off, countless media reports about a deal being close) if we are offering circa. £15m and the deal can only be done for £45m. We must be closer than that. It's probably about a few million difference and how and when it's paid. My onion obviously

One thing we can all be agreed on, is that Mateo Musacchio will bring some much needed facial hair to our back four. Including the hard to grow connecting strips between the beard and the moustache. Our roster of defenders have been notable for their absence of a good beard. There's not a follicle between our existing back four.
