I still don't see us dropping wedge on this guy until we've got it in from sales. Same with Schneiderlin really. It's not our MO.

Nice to have you back mate!

Agree....problem we have though is Levy won't let our fringe players go on the cheap, rightly so, but it makes this whole process a bloody tough balancing act.

And then you'll be back making the same definitive predictions on our next protracted transfer saga. Truth is none of us know here have much of clue about this deal other than what JJ's telling us.
You'd like to think if this wasnt too happen, we had a viable plan B. Aside from giving stoke a ring on the 31st and seeing what Ryan is up to.
It is looking that our plan B was Dier.

Yeah, after a 6 month self-sabbatical I realised when I was visiting the site as a non-member something was wrong...

I was also missing the challenge of sniffing out Dan Ashcroft's latest new login.

IMO Poch wanted to get our defence stronger and we are to play with the same players we had last season.
We've been actively perusing Musacchio (and still are) even since we bought Dier. How on earth was Dier the Plan-B if we bought him first.

Absolutely no logic in that whatsoever.

There's nothing on twitter, no newspaper reports, retweets, or foreign journalists reporting the deal is off.

Doesn't help when we have stubborn fucks who won't move!

....all in the name of 'loyalty' eh!

Seems like the nature of those trying to be moved though, I can imagine someone like Dawson not really taking kindly to being told he's surplus to requirements, not the type to sulk, more the type to dig in and try to prove someone wrong.

I'm not sure it's a question of feeling that Spurs are a victim; I think it's just frustration. It's not the club's fault, it's all the gossip that goes on around the internet that gets people hyped up: especially when you read stories about how a player is on the verge of joining and then it all goes quiet. I'm no better than anyone else; I shouldn't treat ITK as being nailed on. They are just bits of info that have been passed on in good faith.

It is 100% the fault of the person getting hyped up for, as you say, believing the Internet.

We bring you gossip. We have a forum dedicated to it - and I appreciate that it's a mixed message in some respects - but at the end of the day, you lot want gossip but none of the responsibility that goes with that, i.e. understanding it's probably an overheard overhearing of an overheard conversation that's been overheard.

Pinch of salt with all, please.

It's like what I do - I'm a commercial property solicitor. When I get heads of terms for a new deal, the agents get to that point (having agreed the main commercial points) and assume the deal is done. The client also feels that way.

The deal is a long way from being done.

Agents across all sectors are the same and misinformation (or at least misunderstanding of information) is their game.

Particularly when they've employed the likes of you to get it over the line.
