Time for us to fucking spank the Geordies first and foremost ( although I’d happily take a 1-0 win )

I hope that I'll be coming in here in a weeks time to masses of praise from everyone for Poch and we can start to focus on getting the players that can elevate us to greater things. I'm no longer contemplating the opposite.

Come on Poch get them going again for this HUGE week. Secure that CL spot!

If we don't get top 4 it'll hinder our ability to bring in players required to get back in top 4. Doubt players will leave but it could potentially put doubts in minds of where we're actually going which can affect performance.

If Poch doesn't get top 4 this season after coming 2nd last season due to the new stadium the pressure on him to get top 4 next season will be huge. If we missed out again he'd a million percent be sacked.

To give him the platform to get us into top 4 again next season he needs signings but if you're suddenly not getting CL money that creates financial issues and affects the quality you're bringing in. Therefore these next two games are utterly crucial for Spurs and Poch in my opinion.

Actually believe Poch is learning from our experiences. We’ve broken a number of hoodoos this season, massively upped our game in the Champions League and got off to a quicker start this season. All with no home games.

Performances and results are a concern since the Chels game. But I believe Poch will address this in time. I suspect there will be personnel changes and clearly some heads have been turned by money....again. Poch will freshen things up again with talent who will want to play for us.

And we’re back home next season. Poch is essential for that.

Is Harry Kane a player that you drop when out of form or do you play him regularly to regain it?

Personally, I'd go for the latter. The team has dipped collectively in recent weeks and I'm not sure it's helpful to pick on individuals.
We don't have the personal to make any other choice. Kane has to play it seems. If we had greater depth then yes, it's not so easy to drop an out of form player.

Everyone on here saying its Poch's fault if we don't make top 4 are totally correct. Theres absolutely no one else to blame if we don't make it. He's the manager, he makes the decisions, he also doesn't make the decisions (in situations) so ultimately its absolutely right its all on his shoulders.

And I'll go further, if we don't make top 4 (which I think we wont), he is also then to blame for players leaving as a result, the players he wants not being bought and the negative affect it will have on the club, such as potential stadium sponsorship not going our way as a result of missing out on CL football.

And i'll go even further...he should rightly be relived of his duties if all that were to happen.

players and coaches (head coach or manager whatever it is called) are directly responsible for the performance and results. but in these days the board is always the one which fans condemn for disappointing result. of course financial support from the management is important and determines the quality of squad, but the performance on the pitch is brought by the players themselves after all.

And who are you going to replace him with?

He's raised everyone's expectations by constantly over achieving with the tools at his disposal. Eventually this has to end, or you start to behave like a top 4 club across every area. We should be grateful that he has managed to make us competitive for top 4 over the last 3 years, as this is basically remarkable considering the financial constraints he has to deal with

The talk of sacking is ludicrous, funnily enough if we missed out on 4th then Poch would be the ideal man to build a new team. I'd definitely keep him whatever happens, but I think i'd actually rather have him if we missed out.

We need an intervention here.

Sir, step away from the crack pipe. We'll look after you.

I must be the one Tottenham fan that doesn't really give a shit whether we do or don't make Top 4. I fucking HATE that it's become a measure of success in its own right, when its in fact an utterly meaningless "achievement". I think our current obsession with it is symptomatic of our wider mentality issue, where we're not actually bothered about winning anything, we're just happy to be "in the conversation" with the clubs that do. we've become exactly what we used to mock Arsenal for.

it doesn't matter whether we finish 3rd, 4th, or 5th IMO, there are still things Pochettino will need to address about his own managerial approach if we're to move forward under him. I just hope his head isn't buried as deep in the sand as some of his blindly fanatical supporters on here.

Be horrid if we were all as pragmatic as you.

I swear to god if I start seeing the term "tactically inept" I'm gonna lose my shit. We've already started seeing "Can he take us to the next level?"

Shades of BMJ's last months in charge, and look at the shite we had to put up with after him. Not since BMJ have we had a manager that has given us an identity, and has restored pride in our club.

Some of our "fans" really are a disgrace.

I love spurs and think Poche is a fantastic manager, not perfect but fantastic. I REALLY want champions league football next season. I want to see Spurs play the very best clubs in Europe. Anyone who doesn’t want that I can’t understand the mentality. I do understand if people fear we will miss out on top 4 they state it won’t bother them but to actually really think that truth be told?

The reason Arsenal were ridiculed for it was because they were alongside Utd as THE two teams in the PL, sharing all of the trophies for a good few years.

We've gone from also-rans to contenders. There's a reason people are lauding Burnley for EL but laughing at Arsenal for it.

I want us to kick on but it's pretty obvious to me that even competing for league titles is huge progress.
