I'm sure I heard on the radio the other day that financially there in a bit of trouble anyway in Madrid so I seriously don't seem them forking out of tens of millions to get Poch when Wenger is most likely walking in there for free. I'll be stunned if it's not him they appoint.

Well, if he wants the job, the new contract won't stop him leaving anyway. I don't think he wants to, but maybe he'll use this to put more pressure on Levy to deliver?

If he wanted the job he wouldn't have signed a new deal last week. There were strong rumours if RM lost the Champions League Final that Zidane would have been on his way - Poch would have waited.

It just so happens that they won and he has decided to leave anyway.

If RM had lost the CL final then, then they would have sacked ZZ anyway, so Madrid looking for a new manager this summer was always a distinct possibility, so Poch signing a new contract with us just a few days before the final is very significant. Otherwise he would have delayed signing to keep his options open.

As for the RM job, my money would be on Wenger, who they have been linked with in the past and is now available.
