How many players do you want at the club ? It looks like we are likely to end up with several highly paid players not included in the squad because they won't leave. Do you want more existing players to join that growing band ?
Getting some money backfor lamella before the window shuts should be our maakw
Lennon is useless. He legitimately provides nothing. No way depay is worse than him. There is no real life vs fifa in play here at all. Just facts. Lennon is useless.
our main concern should be getting some money back for lamella before the window shuts

So we should sell one potentially world-class player, to buy another potentially world-class player? Lamela should at least be given this season to show what he can do. Selling after last seasons' abortion and his injury lay-off would be ridiculous. We have other players who have shown what they can do and aren't good enough. Let's prioritise getting rid of them first eh?

Maybe Levi needs to accept realistic transfer fees... I read he wants 6 million for Dawson so of course there will be no takers..

Not correct. Hull want him but won't give him a four year contract. I suppose that is Levy's fault.

Probably because you never saw him play for Roma, those that did do see a player that is potentially world class, now he has to prove he can show it in the PL.

rudd gullet analysed his play on match of the day last night and basically said hes crap and I agree with him
Er, no he didn't. He said many times in a couple of minutes that he clearly has "something about him" but that he and Eriksen were making bad decisions yesterday. Do you form all your opinions based on what MOTD tell you though?

What has that got to do with what I wrote, you are making a comment about one pundit's opinion of one game in the PL, I was talking about the quality he showed over his time at Roma.

Personally whilst he had some valid points I also think he didn't give a very balanced assessment, but if you are so hung up by Gullit's analysis he also said the same about Eriksen

Are we to assume then that you feel both Eriksen and Lamella are crap just because Gullit didn't think either had a good game?

Do you also think that because Gullit felt they were both crap in one game they do not have the potential to be world class

As for expert pundit did you think Gullit's reasons for thinking Chelsea should win the title this season were a solid analysis? Personally I think "because they have to" showed a deep and detailed reasoning, if his player analysis is as strong as that I'd suggest the BBC try and lure Hanson back

He was THE bright spark in pre-season. Was injured last season. Was literally brilliant at Roma.

Give him a chance for christ sake.

I have seen a huge increase in idiots on SC recently. I don't respond to them now as I'd be wasting my time.

Yes, you are entitled to an opinion. I am also entitled to having the opinion that what you are saying is idiotic.

Let's be honest, those hit the ground running signings we all like are increasingly rare. A lot of our best creative players of past and present have taken the time to get up to speed in recent years. Modric and Bale for example, and we're still waiting on Lamela and to a lesser extent Eriksen to rip the league up. Van Der Vaart is the obvious exception that springs to mind.

I get annoyed with how quick people are to write off Lamela. These tend to be the same people who think or assume Depay is an instant hit and fix. I would love Depay, and hope if we did ever manage to lure him he tears it up from day one.

But, I can't help but think that it's just blind optimism.

Don't agree with those Lamela comments at all but find it a bit odd how a negative comment over him is met in one way but a negative comment over a number of other players is met the opposite.
