Can people stop referring to the League Cup as a "joke". You wouldn't be saying that if we won it- was our victory in 2008 a joke as well?

You know better then that, no cup win is as important as finishing among the runners up (top four) ;)

I like him but think it's a very strange signing as he'll surely want to start the majority of games yet how will he with Lloris here.

Unless Lloris has told the club when he signed the 5 year contract recently that he'd give the club one more season to see of we can break into the top 3

This is what Vorm said in a article with Voetbal International in Holland

On Lloris: “He has just renewed his contract for five seasons. In the world of football that doesn’t say that much though.

“I expect to compete for the number one spot with Lloris, a renowned goalkeeper. It is new situation for me, being not sure of a starting berth. At Tottenham, it is very different from when I came to Swansea in 2011.

One thing he has over Lloris is distribution.

Didn't Davies supposedly speak with Bale before deciding to come?......would be nice to keep these guys around but at least they are leaving on terms that they still feel positive enough about the club to recommend us.
Davies asked bale & gyfli as well.

Nice touch by vorm leaving sent presents around to the staff at Swansea!

I'm 110% positive about him as our new number 2! Negative? Are you crazy, we now have probably the best number 2 in the league, maybe besides Lindegaard and now Cech. We've gotten unbelievably lucky. And I'll be surprised if he plays all Europa.
I feel like maybe you overrate Lindegaard...

Swansea and FC Utrecht are embroiled in a dispute over the proceeds from Michel Vorm's transfer to Tottenham according to the Daily Mail.

The Dutch club inserted a 30% sell-on clause into the deal that took the goalkeeper to the Liberty Stadium in 2011 and believe they are entitled to more money after his switch to White Hart Lane this summer.

The Mail report that Swansea believe Vorm moved to Spurs as part of the deal that saw midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson head in the opposite direction and, as such, they don't owe Utrecht anything.

I hoped AVB would sign a new keeper in his time here as Brad was never the right type of keeper to be Hugo's understudy, even though he was always a decent keeper.

Pocho seems to fine the weakness in the team/squad and tries to rectify the area. Vorm is a brilliant number 2.

When you say Cup keeper, are you referring to all cups? Because Brad only got the one Europa game. I find it hard to believe how a player can be content with a somewhat joke comp (league cup) and the FA cup, both of which have the potential of versing seriously pub teams, making it not much of a challenge for the player.
We've only won the league 2 times in our history and we're not going to win it any time soon. So if you discard the league and FA cup only the Europa cup is left, which is extraordinary difficult to win.

How was I talking down about the FA Cup?
