That happened when we signed Lamela. Roma wouldn’t sell until they got his replacement, which was Adem Ljajic from Fiorentina. And Fiorentina wouldn’t sell him until they got his replacement which was Ante Rebic from Split. Once Rebic went to Fiorentina all the transfers happened like dominos over the next few days ?

DI Marzio says Fiorentina are paying £10m for Quarta, which is a big fee considering their record ever deal is £15m for Juan Cuadrado and that was years ago.

If they’re paying that much they’ll need income and two days ago Talksport reported West Ham had pulled out of a deal for Milenkovic as they were quoted £35m (with £25m of that upfront).

To justify such a big outlay on Milenkovic Inter would need about to bring in £40M just to cover that level of spending.

Happy with rebrabs comments. If we can't get him now then in 3 months time he's unlikely to have changed Contes mind because he's a stubborn git so his value will have dropped even more and IMO clubs finances aren't going to be looking any better then either so both will work in our favour.

Huge game of brinkmanship now. Let's hope man utd don't shit the bed over next few days and go for him (can't see any other club willing to spend close to 40m on a CB except them)
