The OS has announced:

Fans attending tonight's match against Arsenal are advised that we shall be holding a minute's applause before kick-off to pay tribute to Bobby Smith, our legendary former striker who sadly passed away on Saturday.

Second in our all-time goalscoring list, Bobby was top-scorer in the famous double season of 1960-61, including a goal in the FA Cup Final against Leicester City.

An England international with 13 goals in 15 appearances, Bobby scored 208 goals in 317 senior games for us between 1955-1964.
A reminder that tonight's kick-off is 7.45pm at White Hart Lane.

I have dug out and bumped my account of a Legends evening with Bobby and Dave Mackay from 2007:

I searched for a photo of Bobby Smith the other day on Google Images (I'm only 22 so don't know too much about him) and one of the first photos that came up was that photo of him with you, BOF!

But at least they applauded without boos before the game.

I was at the other end of the ground, but it seemed to me that they observed the tribute in good spirit and with due respect. Fair play to them for that.

I was inside the stand at halftime so missed that bit.

No booing pre-game, mixed applause and just standing there but at half time at the beginning of the video compilation there was a few boo's in the away end.
