Is it me or is the headline the whole article, I am sure the spurs legendary media team have not forgotten to add the content, cause that would be really dumb.

So we lost to a side that was missing some of its best players and had never played together as a team before - a bit disappointing then really. It's only a friendly though I guess.

Sounds a bit like how we were last season. Dominating games but not able to score the goals to turn the dominance into results.

Hopefully this wont be the case by the time the season kicks off.

Without meaning to sound in any way pessimistic, don't count on it!!

Let's put things in perspective.
1- MLS is in full flow... We are in pre-season
2- MLS 2nd half team was still a proper league team - we had 6 guaranteed non-starters as part of our sub's
3- we still dominated

We do need more threatening players, but by all counts the goalie first half had a blinder. Hugo Lloris has had those for us and we praise him for it.

Only a friendly but once again showed a lack of cutting edge. Will only get that when we get more pace and somebody to play the type of killer pass that unlocks defences.

Kane's goal was absolutely world class. He strikes the ball so venomously, with seemingly so little effort. Shearer-esque.

1- Fair point
2- MLS team had NEVER played together before
3- So what. If you can't score goals, dominance means nothing.

I can't believe it was like watching us last season. What a waste of money buying all those new strikers and attacking midfield players.....

how highly do you rate Barcelona?
I ask just to get derspective because the yanks beat Barcelona in this fixture last season ;same score but the game ended with bad feeling a guardiola refusing toshake hands
they did not do too badly
chill out
its still pre season

It was Bayern but it's a valid point.

I've not seen the game or read a review on this... I thought the game was being shown live on sky sports, and is being broadcast tonight... imagine my shock when I heard the result this morning on talk sport.... Now have to watch the game knowing the result, but will base my opinion on that... Could have been worse could have been trying to avoid the result for 24 hours... lol.

Always moaning and moaning... I would like to remind you 2008/09 preseason 5-0 win against Roma. Everyone was so excited and after that... 2 points in 8 games. Calm down and wait for Old Traford...

2- match fitness is a massive thing. If it wasn't, the season would start on July 10th. Fitness is more important.

3- we still haven't finished our shopping, so I will happily take still being able to dominate whilst we look for another option to be back up to Kane. Oh and the keeper had a blinder against Kane. But as I said in my previous post, it only matters when it's Hugo. Our strikers are shit if its the opposition keeper

Some pretty decent chances - but our build up play did look slow as usual. Need some pace up front
