We would know about it if he had broken his leg. An X-ray takes two minutes to arrange. Zamora's was announced almost instantaneously.

Must be some kind of soft-tissue injury which can be more difficult to assess. At the very least though, I think we can rule out the worse-case scenario.

That really isnt the case - i would suggest you read up on different types of fractures.

I'm sorry? What part of a fractured fibula doesn't show up on an X-ray?

It takes time for to arrange an x ray hence why he didnt have it straight away.........!!! Zamora knew straight away he had a broken leg as his was an open fracture - he would have known before he left the pitch. Modric may have had a crack on the bone (like last time) which he would have been able to walk on (with some discomfort) so thats why they didnt know straight away.

Takes about 3 minutes to X-ray an ankle. Spurs would have know long before Luka went to bed last night whether it was broken or not.

Which medical school did you train at again?

So why didnt we know last night then? I know how long it takes to do an xray - but the issue is when the xray took place and HR said it was happening today....... maybe you should have listened to him?

Or maybe you just know more than the club.........

Physio fight!

lol i aint a physio - i just listened to the fact they were having the xray today! The reason that Zamora knew straight away was because it was an open fracture, Modric was having an xray for a closed fracture. As said Zamora would have known as soon as he did it - Modric wouldnt have until the xray was done (which as i repeat - was done today hence why we found out today)

The Croatian was replaced in Spurs' 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns and speaking after the game Redknapp told Sky Sports he was worried about his playmaker.

"His [Modric's] injury doesn’t look very good," explained.

"He broke a bone in his leg last season, and he’s taken a knock on their today. He’s having a scan this evening, but it doesn't look good.”

I do listen. I also know about broken ankles and you don't go to bed without an X-ray - particularly not if your ankle is worth a fair few million quid. I suspect he had the X-ray last night which excluded a fracture and then he had further tests and assessment today before the Official Site released how long they thought he would be out for. That was my original point which I stand by.

In any case, he's back and let's all be blood grateful. I love him and his dodgy fibula.

So that should answer your question why we didnt know straight away. His xray was in the evening. Zamora wouldnt have needed an xray to work out if he had a broken leg as it was an open fracture. As i said........

I do agree its irrelevant anyway - just glad he is back!

 You're easily pleased! Do you wake up in the morning and look outside and shout 'YEEEEEEEEES! A new car!' because you parked closer to your house than normal? Then have a shower, 'YEEEEEEES, new legs! Brilliant!'

It is good news though, however i still want him sacked for inappropriate use of crutches.

LOL, but i love Tottenham more than new car LOL

well, 5 points from Man City (H), Stoke (A), Wigan (H), W.B.A (A) .. not that bad, but considering we managed to CL and raised our expectation to challenge for title, we lost some easy points plus losing Dawson, Modric & Defoe for long time, i think this news deserved 'YEEEEEES' and fair celebration reaction
