Didnt get to catch the game, will watch Footy First tonight but genuinely interested as to how the little man did today ? Mind still elsewhere or looking more like his old self ?

Good to hear, lets enjoy while it lasts I guess, no doubt January will be much like July/August in terms od speculation and bids

He played well as usual. I'm not worried about January either, he'll be staying and we'll be winning games.

I thought he looked back to his old self. It never fails to amaze me how many headers he wins for someone who is so short.

Played very well today! One of the things that makes me laugh is that Modric actually works as hard, gets stuck in almost as much and obviously shows a lot of bravery in always wanting the ball, as somebody like Parker but doesn't get the credit for it.

Anyways, wasn't his best ever game, but he worked very hard all over the pitch and provided the usual quality with the ball.

Hopefully we'll be in a similar position to Chelsea come January and he won't have the same desire to leave. If it's the league he wants then he won't get it anywhere in London right now!

I thought he had a subdued game. A handful of great passes but didn't work hard enough when Wolves had the ball. I think playing him in a central two is madness and I'm not about to change my mind anytime soon.

Big interview in main croatian newspaper today, couple of points:
- money is important, but at the level he is at now, it doesn't really matter. He felt lack of ambition at the club after CL qualification, thinks it was opportunity missed. He wants trophies, FA cup, Curling cup, Europa league, it doesn't matter. Felt Chelsea was right move forward for him at the moment. After Croatia game, first night that he slept well in two months.
- never said he'll never play for Spurs again, total BS. He appreciate everything club has done for him, no intention of sulking. He is sorry because of fans, but he felt he was being honest, he wanted to go and he said so. Didn't want to be hypocrite about it. He knows some bridges were burnt, but intend to play as good as he can.

He really negates his lack of size with a the spirit of a little terrier. I'll still enjoy watching him play wherever he may go.

I think you're right about the midfield 2. That night we played Sandro and Palacios against AC and he came on during the 2nd half, there was a 5 min period where AC didn't get the ball. Now with Adabayor in the squad I'd love to see us do that again away from home with Sandro, Parker and Modric as a midfield.
