Mohamed Salah is a winger at Chelsea and we want to buy according to the Express.co.uk. Roberto Soldado is for sale in January according to the Standard.co.uk.

It would be nice if we gave soldado a run of games before we sling him off. The only run of games he got as no.9 was under AVB when weren't creating shit

Exactly. Poor Bobby has been a victim of that style under AVB.

Would love to see him get a proper run now.

:ROFLMAO: They've got to fill the back pages for three months until the next window opens. It must be a bloody nightmare dreaming up the latest transfer rumours for 3 months. The bloke could break his leg next week in training. C'mon most of the gutter press can't even predict the right transfer during the window let alone 3 months in advance!

Gotta be worth a try, I'm by no means a Soldado fan but Ade just isnt cutting it. and really dont want to watch his clumsy long legs tripping over themselves any longer.

I'd have anyone but Salah at the club. I would rather have Saha and Nelson back from retirement than him.

Fuck me football has become a boring and over complicated game. Just stick Soldado up top and put decent crosses into him and he will score a bagful. Easy

What happened?
He refused to shake hands with any Tel Aviv players before the game in protest to the Israel situation in Gaza

Some people saw it at racist or anti semitic - others compared to it people refusing to play sports against South Africa during the Apartheid era (in as far as they're political protests rather than racism etc)

I think he was under pressure from his friends back and family not to do it and he took himself away from the hand shake line to avoid having to shake hands with any of their players (there was a lot of talk before the second game about whether or not he would refuse to shake hands again and he went to clean his boots instead when the handshakes were taking place)

I think on the one hand it's being blown out of proportion because he wasn't refusing to shakes hands because of racism or simply because they were Jewish in my opinion (not like refusing to shake hands with a black player because they're back for example) but rather because of his political position and wishing to make a statement..... but on the other hand I think Sport is not the place for such things and he shouldn't have got involved much like the Anelka and BAE situation (although scroll back many years and the iconic pictures of the black american athletes using their black gloves to make political statements are revered - so its a matter of perception perhaps)

Thanks for this info @Shea . It has always been a source of debate whether Sports should be involved in politics or vice versa Example back in the days that refusing to engage in any Cricket against South Africa would help to dismantle Apartheid.

Salah looked good against us when he played for Basle but is limited .

As the Chelsea fans point out he is squad for them rather than first team and doesn't compare with players like Oscar .

If Tottenham truly want to get anywhere then they will have to start buying much better players than they have been doing rather than also rans like Salah .

Why on earth is our D.O.F. still in a job given the dross which is unsuited to English football which he wasted the Bale money on ?
