@gordonsimpson: Koeman says Schneiderlin had very good week of training. Will also take decision on him tomorrow on whether involved v Liverpool. #saintsfc

@gordonsimpson: Koeman also again says he expects Schneiderlin to still be at #saintsfc after transfer window has shut.

hmm...so he doesn't know yet...don't expect him to be involved then.

And he only expects him to be there now after the window shuts....not as confident sounding that's for sure.

Exactly, and it never was despite all the fighting talk - although I'm sure he was told to say that at the time.
Tow the party line 'n all.

I would imagine this whole saga will intensify if, and quite realistically, they get a tonking at Anfield and Schneiderlin has minimal involvement.

Looks to me after that comment by Koeman that if MS does get his move RK would walk. IMO its unlikey now, they dont need the money and it would cause even more upheaval if he were to go aswell as a PR nightmare.

As I recall we made a good view statements saying Bale was not for sale:)

Not sure were you get that from.

He's saying he expects him to be there. That's a lot less confident than saying...he will be here when the transfer window shuts.

I actually view his comments as encouraging, if anything, this afternoon.

Hadn't seen these quotes...not so encouraged now:

Schneiderlin available for Anfield

Daily Echo: Morgan Schneiderlin Morgan Schneiderlin

Morgan Schneiderlin is available to play for Saints against Liverpool on Sunday after accepting he will remain with the club.

The French midfielder was left out of the squad for the final pre-season friendly against Bayer Leverkusen last weekend as he continued to push for a move away from St Mary’s, with Tottenham favourites to land him.

Schneiderlin had reacted with frustration after being told he would not be allowed to join some of his former colleagues in being sold by Saints this summer.

However, Ronald Koeman is satisfied with the player’s reaction, and will decide tomorrow whether to include him in the squad for Liverpool.

“He had a very good week of training sessions,” said Koeman.

“We know the situation. Last week he wasn’t in shape to play, he had a very good week of sessions and that decision will be taken tomorrow.”

When asked if Schneiderlin was definitely staying at Saints, Koeman replied: “Yes because he’s not for sale.”

A lot of that will be bluster. From what has been said by Schneiderlin himself, I doubt the veracity of any statement that says he has trained well as he clearly is in the midst of a hissy fit

Yeah indeed. Its by no means over IMO.

Just not quite as confident as I was this time last week.

I hope Schneiderlin plays against Liverpool at this point, to help Southampton steal some points, and then complete his move.
