I hope Schneiderlin plays against Liverpool at this point, to help Southampton steal some points, and then complete his move.

Last season they won 1-0 at Anfield early on, and then got stuffed 3-0 at home. I wouldn't be too confident of them helping us out.

You really put that much weight on what the agent wants?. All agents want movement, they don't always get them.
When you have a player who wants out as much as MS, he's gonna listen to the agent's instruction on the best way to forge an exit and the agent will do whatever he can - knowing he has the full backing of the player - to make that eventually desirable for the club.

In other words, I expect non-cooperation by MS.

I agree but the latest news of him being "ready to play" (BBC) and RK saying he has trained well all week don't sound like non compliance.

This reminds me of the Modric situation when he wanted to leave but ended up staying that season.

He will end up abroad at somewhere like PSG.

@HotspurRelated: Koeman: "It difficult for him but he has to accept and finally he accepts. When I see Morgan and speak to Morgan he accepted situation."

Well, that was fun

Not even that bothered. The biggest advantage of MS was that he could hit the ground running in Poch's system. Every day they drag this transfer out reduces how important he actually is to us. By January I wouldn't be surprised if Capoue looks every bit as comfortable and capable as Schneiderlin.

Don't believe it if it hurts too much mate but you're only postponing the inevitable come 1st September.
Can't believe he wouldn't kick up more of a stink in the circumstances; makes no sense.

We'll see. Won't be too put out if it doesn't happen. Poch will see us right one way or another irt personnel.

If he maintains his level of performance, he will join a bigger club than us next summer IMO. Sort of exactly what happened with Luka.

Not sure if that's good enough for Dechamps who's already told him he needs to upgrade club.

They fucked him over re. their verbal with him; sold others right in front of his face and yet deny him - one of the oldest serving players - his move; he's under pressure from Dechamps to upgrade and it's Euro quals this season; his agent would miss a bumper payday.

And he gives in with 2/3 weeks left of the window?? Nah, doesn't add up.

Well, that's clearly bullshit. MS probably has been going along with it but he won't ever convince anyone that he wants to stay. It's looking more unlikely (definitely not dead) but he definitely wants to come here and probably has been doing what Koeman wants so he looks less like a bad guy.

Fits with the ITK though that we low balled them.

MS must not be that confident that we'll go much higher. If he was this wouldn't be looking over.

Personally I'm choosing to believe Storts and Gards. The info makes far more sense to me. Low balled them which pissed them off and then they made their public stance - off the back of their fans reaction selling Chambers as well.

Unless we were going to pay the premium for MS, like United and Liverpool had to do, we were never going to get him for a knock down price.

Anyway its looking less and less likely.

We move on and pray to fuck we at least get MM in.
