If s/Hampton can make MS stay why couldn't we have made Bale stay? Head turned blah blah ... Get on the fucking field & play boy .. 2 goals. TW shuts. Boom. Get on with it
They can't make him stay though, he will leave.

It won't be to us this season.... If someone else stumps up 25 million tomorrow then he'll be offski.

Have wanted this guy right from the KO of Poch coming and him saying he wants to follow. Have not appreciated the stance by Soton and given how he has played the first three games for them you can see his value. Is the value 25 ish mill, generally we so no, just hope no one else gets him at their selling value.

For him to come in now for us is getting difficult with Stambouli, our HGP issues, needing to sell "some midfielders". I hope Levy can pull some deadline day magic but ultimately it looks like another "non-moutinho affair".

Arsenal are richer than us. If they feel they can chuck £27m on a player, so be it. We can't without selling one or some of our top assets. I'm glad that we haven't done that this summer as I'm sick of it.

Right at the beginning of the summer he was on the Arse shortlist. Media expected him to go then, so I was wondering why it had gone so quiet on that front tbh.

What Levy fails to appreciate I feel, is that sometimes you have to pay the full asking price, even if it's more than you'd like.

The reason is that he's Poch's 1st choice, he can slot straight in with no time to acclimatise and that means the team will function as Poch wants.

This means more points picked up earlier which gives you a greater chance of champions league.

Plus if I'm not mistaken MS will be classed as a homegrown player.

It appears Arsenal understand this , yet we are in more desperate need of MS and yet we are going for an untested in the EPL cheaper alternative.

Personally I think it's short-sighted especially with their interest in Townsend, a deal could have been done.

I wouldn't want us to spend £27m on him...

I want MS, I really thought he was the key to Saints performance last season. He knows the league and our manager, it's a low risk but expensive option.

It's tomorrow: "Manchester United could see as many as 11 players either leave or arrive at Old Trafford before Monday's transfer window closes. (Daily Star)"

The above is just an example. Not MS related.
