Hakimi must have some muscles in his back the lad…lugging those big fuck off bollox around all the time.
It was probably an easy decision. Morocco had the lead, and he knew Simon had to make a save there, and was almost committed to diving in either direction.

American TV said Bono was talking to Soler before his kick. Said "Bono living rent free in Soler's head" LOL

Fully deserved. I watched the game with a Spaniard and even she couldn't find anything positive to say about Spain today.

They were crap.

apparently the king of Morocco flew 2 plane loads of Morocco fans in for the world cup. they were brilliant all game, and have been in every game, tbf.

and the Moroccan FA flew in the players' families as well. When you add in that they're an arab nation and have 15000 Moroccans living in Qatar, no wonder they're so up for it.

I feel like with that overhanging risk of VAR that goalkeepers have managed to just get better at saving penalty kicks lately.

The end result made this one of the most enjoyable games to watch so far. Bono is now a national hero in Morocco and Hakimi, born in Madrid, fittingly scored the final penalty. Legendary for Morocco and another great chapter for the tournament book.
