Yes, that's right everyone. The signing we've all been looking for. The player we've all mentioned in hopes that we would get linked eventually. Well, it's happened. Moses Odjer has FINALLY been linked to us. We finally can have a thread to openly state how much we need this guy, how perfect he'd be for Tottenham and start thinking about how he could be our midfield maestro for the foreseeable future.

Oh, you don't know Moses Odjer? Me, either.

Anyway, we've been linked:

English side Tottenham are among the the FIVE foreign clubs seeking to talented Ghanaian youngster Moses Odjer, his club Tema Youth have confirmed.

Portuguese giants Porto and their arch rivals Benfica have also expressed interest in signing the player since he excelled at the recent U20 World Cup in Turkey.

French club Rennes and Tunisia side Club Africain are also in the hunt of signing the player who recently turned 17.

Italian newspapers reported last week that Udinese are in talks to complete a move for the youngster but his club Tema Youth says the Serie A club have not slapped in any request.

“There have been a number of offers for Moses but obviously nothing concrete has taken place between my club and Udinese,” Tema Youth chief Wilfred Kwaku Osei told Radio XYZ.
“Odjer attracted offers from Porto, Benfica, Tottenham Club Africaian and Rennes.”

Tema Youth must release the player to a foreign club otherwise they will find it hard to keep him as they will play in the second tier following their relegation.

The player’s parents are also keen for him to move abroad as they have been involved in negotiations for the minor to move.

Odjer has attracted interest from several clubs across the globe including Ghanaian giants Kotoko.

Oh, hey. Look a video of him!

And here's our future superstar scoring a goal in the U20 World Cup!

Watched him play about 4 matches in the recent U20s WC.
Kid's a beast physically. I mean he's still short (obviously), but strong as a bull and athletic as naff. Built like a rock, and has a mean left foot.
He scored a beautiful goal against Chile in the QuarterFinals.
I think he had an assist as well later on in the tourney, but I can't recall.
Would be nice to develop this kid into a monster.

Could we get him a work permit?

Because he could end up a better player than Essien.

Why do they call us Tottenham Club Africaian?

The piece was penned by SpursKing...... ;)

Presumably a work permit would be a problem, and our days of Rodrigo Defendi dodgy passports are hopefully behind us.

Given his international performances at the U20 WC, maybe we'd be trying for an "Exceptional Talent" WP.
