They're making a lot of money on the ones that dont make it though. But I dont think we are going to go to those extremes, I think we just have a strategy to sign a group of young prospects of similar age so Poch can bring them through together. Poch's reputation for developing young players is sky high right now, so it's quite clever of Levy and Co to capitalize on that while the irons hot.

Am I right in assuming that at 19 he'll never qualify as homegrown? If so we need to take this into account. It's not just about the money but about whether we can offer him enough of the right kind of football for him to develop.

That is correct, but he can be registered as a U21 player for the next three seasons, so that doesn't really matter (for now).
