Most Annoying Player

There is that one player who is good, scores goals and is a vital cog in the team he plays for. Gets picked for his country and the media and other pundit have positive things to say about him and rightly so. But for some irrational reason, as this player has not done anything other than play football the correct way, even when he is playing against us, annoys the crap out of you just for being on the field of play. That player for me is James Maddison of Leicester City. Everything about him annoys me especially that s*** eating grin he always portrays. Is there any player that you feel the same about even though there is no rational reason to do so?

As for players, Daniel Sturridge used to really irritate me, but he’s not playing any more, so I guess I will choose Mason Mount, he’s a decent player, but the whole teachers pet thing with him and Gary Southgate is vomit inducing.

There's a face that younger siblings pull when they've done something wrong, but don't want to be punished. The eyebrows go up to show confusion. The eyes moisten in expectation of unwarranted sanction. The lips pout and quiver slightly.

And, all the time, it's a ploy.

He's by all accounts a model pro, as far as I know is a reasonably humble guy off the field, there's no specific reason to dislike him other than the clubs he happens to have played for, but for whatever reason I just always found him really annoying. Couldn't tell you why, he just has one of those faces I guess.

Back on topic and staying with utd for me it's Anthony martial. Not only is he massively overrated, he just sulks at everything, like the world is there to annoy him. Entitled is the word that comes to mind, so glad we didn't spunk 80m on him.

Other players, Maddison is the obvious one, cantwell at Norwich.
