I would go for one thats not an option...though most are tempting.

Tim in charge..o_O....close 2nd being why is Baldini allowed anywhere near our club still?

I personally don't have a problem with Lennon getting games, especially if it's ahead of Townsend.
His work rate is second to none, and he always tracks back to help out, which is more than can be said of the rest of our midfield.
His decision making at times is questionable though......

As eluded to earlier, only THFC could have a thread like this. Not knocking the OP as I think it's actually a very relevant thread if not very depressing. Just shows what an utter abomination of a season it has been for one that promised so much

Wow, quite a few options there and more came to mind immediately:

The messing around with Eriksen
Over reliance on Naughton when Walker injured
Chadli
The disappearance of Siggy

For me the biggest disappointment has to be Lamela though.

I selected "Other":

Sherwoods obsession to play English players regardless of suitability
This! Yesterday I said to my wife, I bet he's going to bring bloody Townsend on & leave Erikksen on the bench. I'm all for giving the lads chances but it's getting ridiculous. Bentaleb may have a great future ahead of him but he seems to be first name on the team sheet at the moment. He's gone from nowhere to guaranteed starter and I feel the pressure is starting to take its toll on him. Everyone criticised AVB for his stubbornness in dropping Ade. Sherwood's stubbornness to pick English/youth ahead of others will prove equally costly.

I went with Danny Rose.
At least with Lamela we have other players who can play in that position, but with Rose it's a real weakness.
The only 2 options as cover are a right-back and a centre-back who doesn't want to cover at LB even if it means he starts games.

Walker's hardly missed any games...... Only Lloris & Dawson have played more in the PL this season.

Very good point! Unfortunately I feel that that Sherwoods Stubbornness will cost us more than AVB's :(

Fact is we have one of the best group of players we have ever had ....trouble is they are in the hands of probably the worst group of of coaches we have ever had....IMO ofc...

DL has to take a good hard look at himself...fans will not tolerate this next season again....imo.

My overall frustration comes from my expectations that we would regularly see a team like this....

.............Lloris
Walker Kaboul Vertonghen new LB
.........Capoue Sandro
...........Paulinho
Lamela Soldado Eriksen

Or similar variations all playing exciting attacking football and scoring bag fulls of goals while challenging strongly for the top four and it just hasn't panned out anywhere close to my expectations

I think some of these stack, so the very depressing tales of Lamela and Townsend are contributing to the tragic comedy of Aaron Lennon the cast iron starter, with a productivity/reward ratio a city banker would be shocked at.

i just wanted to say that I actually don't blame Soldado or Lamela .. the disappointment is in the way both of them have been handled by Manager 1 and Manager 2 ..

Sadly I think you are right & his stubbornness will result in us losing players. Just look at Holtby being sent to Fulham.
In august I was really excited at the possibilities now I'm frustrated and can hardly be bothered. It's nearly March an we haven't seen our strongest 11 on the same pitch - shambles.

So which right back would you pick other than Walker or Naugton?

Who is goiing to plat leftback other than Rose? Well there is Fryers...

Who would you find to replace Dawson when two other CBs are injured?

Who is going to provide width without Lennon... well I guess there is Townsend...

What other English players do we have? Defoe? Kane? Hardly over used.

Possibly the stupidest comment in a very stupid thread.
