Ran out of stream pretty quickly, which is a real shame. They could have focused on the great games; more of the 70s and 80s, rise of the Premier League in the 90s; less of the battles with ITV which, to me, diluted the '50 years of MOTD' theme.

Lethal Bizzle? Tinchy Stryder? idiots.. Des Lynam looks elderly these days. 71 but looks frail.

And the "you don't win anything with kids" had really worn thin. It's not that funny.

More people watch MOTD than any live game on Sky or BT.

Well there's an obvious reason for that.

I watch it, it's just the analysis is crap and it's not the evening institution it once was. Very few people watch it without knowing he score and I think technology had overtaken it for better or worse.

I enjoyed it. It's already been repeated and no doubt will again.

Grandstand deserves a programme too. Yes, I do remember it way back in the days of b & w telly and was even seen running on the WHL pitch after the game against Feyenoord while Kenneth Wolstenholme was doing his summary of the match by my family who had watched the game at home on TV.
