common sense? he was clear through on goal and with bent's record you could pretty much call it a guaranteed 3-1. Dunne knew that and that's why he pushed him.

You'd expect Richard Dunne to have more sense than to make contact with Bent but I Still think it was a harsh sending off .

If the cost of the search for consistency is referees not being able to use common sense then I'd rather go back to the way it was /

As the rules stand the ref had no option but to show a red. Either Dunne panicked (as well he might) or he took a chance that no-one would notice a little shove in the back. My only gripe with the ref in relation to that was that he didn't make them take their wall back another two or three yards.

Adrian Chiles split from his wife during the summer.

It has been alleged in the press that his buck toothed, ronsealed, co-presenter Christine Bleakley on The One Showhas been a shoulder to cry on.

For his appearance, Keown is actually quite well-spoken, almost to the point of eloquence.

Very astute to comment on the Huddlestone sitting 'quarterback' role. Shows what a difference it makes having his passing range and Bent playing on the shoulder of the last defenders - something a lot of people on here have been hoping for since we signed The Bentatron 3000.

Still can't stand Dixon though.
Good shout Stoof,Keown is one of more astute pundits, wonder if Chiles may develop a soft spot for Spurs with the Croatian connection.

I was impressed with Keown. He is sort of wasted on motd, everytime he made a good analytical point that you think might lead to debate someone cracks a joke.

Goals on Sunday is my favourite program, a great balance of showing highlights (they generally show more than motd, which does not highlight all the serious incidents), making tactical analysis, interacting with their guests and having a laugh, and overall discussion. I think they benefit from new guests each week

I thought Smith was very fair with his comments in the derby on Sky aswell, and Ian Wright speaks well of Spurs aswell. Makes me feel really uncomfortable actually. Especially when the likes of Sherwood are very critical on Setanta (and now he's joined the staff.) The one i hate most is Thompson and his love for Liverpool though. When we played them last season, i was watching Soccer Saturday, and when Liverpool scored past us he cheered. It really winds me up to see that.

Noooooooooooooooooo! Eek SC - First with all the Media/Showbiz Goss!

That Jane Garvey, who sounds like she talks with a close peg on her nose, and pronounced Southall, the district in West London, like the Race Course "Suthell" when there was a train crash there confusing the hell out of me?! Eek :duh:

No wonder the Brummie has been hanging round Strictly all series and singing the praises of Christine!

Top quality goss TCO, and after the break-up of Eleanor Oldroyd & Nick Mullins, and that gobby bitch Victoria Derbyshire stole poor Fi Glover's hubby from under her nose, the BBC/5live Presenters marriage curse has struck again!

What! You're standards must be very high. Eek Marks out of One for Christine?:hump:

Meanwhile, yes Keown may be given a script, but does speak well and sound like he has given it some consideration. Dixon is an unashamed Spurs hating Gooner. It spoils a really good show and as we are alwayys playing UEFA onThuersdays, most of our games are on sundays and this otherwise exellent show.

Maybe they should get Garth Crooks on their debating with Keown. Adrain Chiles is great, really good timing an Ilike the way he has stayed on MOTD2 despite his BBC1 slot.

Looked like he was having his teeth pulled or suffering from piles when he said that,
Seriously, why do they have TWO ex goons on together, they have enough pundits to out one on sat and one on Sunday. Neither of them are that insightful anyway.

Shall we all send in letters of complaint to the BBC, they like that!

We can't complain, what do we give to punditry? Garth Crookes. I can't physically watch him, I start wriggling round in my chair and have to turn the tv off before I punch it.

I like listening to Keown, I find what he says to be interesting and he has a nice manner about him. Doesn't shout over the top, doesn't come up with shite jokes.

Infuriatingly, the other pundit I like is Charlie Nicholas. At first I just thought he talked up the goons too much and talked us down too much. But he's constantly right and when we deserve praise he does give it to us. And I love seeing him sit there when Phil Thompson is doing his usual rant about something (and what he's saying usually contradicts what he was sayin the week before) and Charlie just sits there with a 'shut the fuck up you stupid dick head' look on his face.
