Sol Campbell is inarticulate and appears to have limited ability to string a sentence together. How on Earth did he get the job?????

On a brighter note listening to the fool cheered me right up COYS

The funniest thing ever is that during MOTD two of the trends were "Sol Campbell" and "HIV" after it was cured in America on some baby. Priceless Mastercard advert material.

No comment on the quality of the punditry (although I think I might be alone in quite liking Colin Murray), but it's not an issue of the BBC just 'choosing' to 'only' show X minutes of highlights, the duration of highlights is a contractual. I can't remember the levels (I'm not even sure if they are published) but it's along the lines of 'BBC can't show more than 10 minutes of footage from a game that's shown live on Sky'. Sky pay a shit load of cash for exclusive rights to games, they don't want a FTA broadcaster showing half an hour of the good shit from their headline match every Sunday.

But they created very little. Its the argument I have had several times on here, if you're not hurting the opposition or threatening to hurt them the possession argument becomes less relevant.

We defended better for sure but at the end of the day we were the more dangerous looking side, by a distance I thought.

They did control the first 30 mins, but it was pretty passive in all honesty. Bar a great tackle by Vert on Giroud they did nothing of note.

When you look at the gilt edged chances we created in the second half with Sig and Bale, and the half chance with Defoe it could of been a bigger scoreline in our favour.

Yea I totally agree, I don't really care about their marginally (and arguably) better passing. Our key passes were killer and I loved the composure of both finishes. Plus we looked strong and I was never overly worried.

We really look like a good TEAM atm and I believe we'll win any game, hopefully we'll end our one last away hoodoo vs Chelsea in April.

Just watched it having recorded it and fuck me that was dreadful.

I generally quite like MOTD2 but that was appalling. Scumface was obviously awful just by being there but other than that he was terrible.

Hansen did genuinely seem a bit pissed and the idea that Aguero's goal was that much better than Bale's is daft.

The fact that John Hartson was the voice of reason says it all.

Think the beeb might be taking too much notice of Lawro's predictions. That panel would have been unbearable if Arsenal had won. Makes it a little sweeter really, although Hartson did give Bale goal of the month.

This.
I swear the powers that be, who still believe the only problem we have with this thing is that he crossed the divide (no matter how many times it has been explained) are determined to push him at us, so that we will accept him and be sorry for calling him a Judas scumbag.

Watching it now. Can't believe they let such an inarticulate man on the show. He also looked hilariously uncomfortable.

He looked terrified like someone passed him the runes.
He did actually say when talking about Arsenal's poor defending that there was a communication problem which is a situation involving pots and kettles if ever there was one.

Didn't like that they showed podolski sky one but didn't show defoe missing by a foot or so on a low shot. Fair enough if theres time restraint but surely that's more of a moment than podolski's non threat

Just wound it back on my TIVO box, god that second goal was shit defending !!

Yeah it was, but it was also a very clever run. If you watch the game again, Lennon kept going wide which made Monreal believe he wasn't going to run across him. He then forgets him and all of a sudden Lennon is in.

You would think that Campbell being useless would make sure he's never punditing again, but this is the BBC we're talking about. Shit pundits are their forté.

Lennon ran a very long way and the full backs response was to try to block him off, which failed.
He then tried to step up which doesn't work if you do it on your own.
Given the usual quality of Parker's passing I just can't believe that he actually picked out the run.
It was like sending a rocket to circumnavigate Mars
and would require space/time calculations at Astro Physics Phd level
It was instinctive and brilliant and possibly the best pass of his career.
Retire Scotty; quit while you are ahead.
Er.. best wait till Sandro's back.
Although there's always Jake 'he plays we win' Livermore

Funniest part of MOTD2 was Colin Murray's tongue-in- cheek introduction of Campbell as 'Equally loved by Spurs and Arsenal fans alike'
No reaction from Sol at all.
