1) Massive improvement defensively and set pieces for and against. Find a back 4 that works and let them play together for several games instead of chopping and changing every game.
2) Fullbacks actually stopping crosses coming in
3) Attacking movement and clear patterns and a plan in the final third
4) Proactive and tactical subs
5) Finding a CM pairing that works

Im surprised at the amount of people who bring this up.
I would expect them all to have whiter than white personalities, who have never stepped out of line or treated anyone badly ever in their lives, however I suspect that's probably not the case which makes the hand-wringing over calling a doctor a nasty name pretty funny.
I blame it on the world cup burn out it's a simple as that.

Im not sure we didn't have that under Poch, apart from the last 12 months, but that ethic combined with a top drawer tactician is what Im looking forward to seeing.

Yeah me as well.

We've missed that ethic over the last 12 months.

He'll get that back and to a coin his phrase... 'add details'.

I expect it to go quietly for a period then one thing will trigger him, and all hell will break loose.

Considering that this is Jose's last big chance in the premiership, I still expect a meltdown within 3-4 months.

For the remainder of this season, just to begin playing well again. CL would be great, but not expected. Next year, maybe win a trophy and CL spot. It's not going to happen instantly people. Get behind him, whatever your views, do not boo him - counter-productive. Potentially one of, if not the best manager we've ever had. (I stress, potentially).

I expect that from SC if we're not in the final of the CL, FA Cup final and finish top 4. He's already got his haters out there ready for if he ever loses a game in the next 3.5 years. :cautious:

I think we'll see all of that.
Full backs stopping crosses? That'll be a novel idea (andd a welcome one) in the modern game lol.
However I think we'll unfortunately see a circus shit show next season.
Praying we see some silverware before the shit show.

For the remainder of this season I just want to feel excited about going to the lane again. The last couple of months it’s felt like a chore going to the games, with poor performances, lack of effort and poor results becoming the norm rather than the exception.

Next season, with a couple of additions, i’d love to see us mount a genuine title challenge.

I’m hoping for a whole lot of shithouse tactics lol. It’s time for Mr Hyde.

Starter, i loved Poch to bits but....
Whenever he spoke I always had the impression with him he focused on and talked a lot about the team, setting them up, respect the opposition etc etc.. I don't disagree with any of that, but surely sometimes he just needed to be arrogant and say do you know what you are better than this lot, go out and dominate and smash them.. Of course he could have been saying that behind the scenes, but do you actually believe it?

With Jose he has literally said it on day 1 how good the players / squad are and i get the feeling he is going and saying that to them personally.. Tell em how good they are, build there confidence and be a bit arrogant about how you play IMO. I think thats the mentality change thats the biggest thing we'll get with him...

I think we'll win the league with him next season tbh

We've got a decent squad, which will get better with a few signings and he's got pedigree for halting rival juggernauts (e.g. Barca)

Premier league or champions league. Anything else is a failure and it was a pointless endeavour.
@Gb160
You've given me another doh rating here. What are your expectations then? You're his biggest fan boy on here it seems. What's do you expect? A league cup? An fa cup? Or are are you just in this for the Jose show? Because he talks nicely in a press conference? Because he's a "serial winner"?

We’re not winning anything this season and I don’t expect us to.

I want a cup next year, though. I don’t care if it’s the league cup or whatever just something.

The league could be interesting next season. I’ll be surprised if Pep is still managing City but then again I thought he was going to leave by now and he hasn’t. I don’t really expect us to be challenging for the league next season but we should be getting top 4.

After next season it’ll probably all go to shit but that’ll be alright if we win a trophy or 2.
