You are truly not a bad supporter for cracking a joke about Sissoko. For that price tag, we've got to get something out of it.

He didn't set his price, though. I could understand the hate toward Adebayor, who cashed in an astronomical wage and didn't want to be sold, but Sissoko hasn't really gotten a chance. Yes he's been shit, but everyone who watched the Euros last year knows that there is a good player hidden in there.

I want him gone, only to get some cash we can spend on someone who suits us better, but dumping him just to get rid of him is pointless.

I disagree with that. I think the squad will be improved only from Sissoko being gone. More to the point, as long as we actually don't cross over to abuse, but crack a good few jokes, we are not doing anything wrong.

What's the point in loaning Sissoko out? I know we paid a lot of money and he is on high wages, but isn't it WC next summer? You know he will want to impress Deschamps whenever he plays. And Pochettino must have had an initial idea buying him. I don't rate his first season at all, but we need squadplayers

Well if no one is willing to buy him. Do we really have a choice but to loan him out?

We can then hope he plays well next season and at the World Cup and some chinese sucker comes along and drops 40 big ones on him,

we need squad players but they need to be better than Sissoko otherwise we could have a random draw and get someone from the crowd to have a run at least they might be funny and would probably put in more effort

Bit in bold tells me all I need to know about your opinion on him. You've obviously never seen him play in any other capacity than the odd cameo for our first team.

I know very little about him, but I think I'll be trusting those who have seen him extensively in our youth setup to give the opinions of him.
Yes, because as I go on to say, I'm talking about his ability to play Premier League football, not the youth leagues which is just a platform for players to eventually make the step up to the senior league.

I'd argue he's way out of his depth in the Premier League though. I'd definitely bring on Sissoko over him if I was looking for someone to make a difference. That's how ineffective I think he is. I don't think he's good enough to force his way into getting any minutes to improve that, either.

It's that step up I don't think he's good enough to make from seeing his appearances so far. I think he looks completely out of his depth

Some of the Chinese teams cannot even pay their players. Further, there is no way he gets on the French WC team by playing in China. China will not happen.

He wants to stay in England (from everything I have read and heard). Does not even want Marseille. suspect the trip to Turkey was to set up a worst case scenario while hoping that someone, anyone, from the PL will come in for him. There was interest, just none who will pay the loan fee and the full wages, which, I presume, is the expectation. Selling him at this point will result in a loss. Best we can hope is a loan that will cover this year's instalment and the wages.

If not, WC is his motivation. Perhaps he will put in the effort and perform in a fashion that will make him a player that can be selected for France. To do that he will have to work hard in practice, earn his place on the bench or in the lineup and will have to execute when called upon. I thought he was poor last year and obviously had issues at practice. He was also horrid the year prior for Newcastle. Other than a couple of performances for France, he hardly earned his salary.

Issue with him remaining is, I suspect we will not sign a winger until he is gone. I would rather take my chances with another player than expect that he will do better than the past few years in the PL.

The inability to impose himself would be one of his 'few obvious deficiencies' then ??... quite a major one that I'd say ;)

That's my point. Very few 'obvious deficiencies': he's strong, athletic, technically gifted; but his inability to impose himself on a game is major flaw that he has to overcome if he's going to realise his massive potential.

Technically gifted! Really, toe punt it past the defended and run as fast as possble bulldosing his way through. He couldnt be less a current Spurs type player if he tried
