Do we know yet what the spurs security is, are they just bodyguards?
I'm only speculating, but I think that was probably a reference to Spurs stewards travelling to away games in Europe. I was in Seville for the match there when the Spanish police/security waded into our fans without provocation, and I remember our stewards being very quick to jump in and protect our supporters. It was nothing short of heroic.

The world is small. I know one of the Spurs fans from Berlin on the picture. Will meet him @ North London Derby. :D

Nice report, cheers.

Good blog, enjoyed reading it. Looking forward to going to a game abroad again if we beat Inter (I have adopted something of a glory hunter's mentality to Europe this season and decided only to go the away games from the QF onward if we get there but impressed that 3,000 did make it to Lyon, that's a huge turn out for the last 32 of the Europa league).
Don't want to sound negative so take this as constructive criticism but the photos of the sights of Lyon were a bit dull- perhaps just ones of people next time?

No offence taken, Jimmy. I think images of places, that are well tagged etc, help with SEO and all that nonsense and draw people into the blog. I hate my real job and miss being a football writer, so this is a way to try to get some more of that and some added digital experience under my belt, while having fun at the same time.

Cheers for all the positive comments chaps. I'm a former sports writer, marooned in a boring job. Spurs and travelling are my two passions and this is a good way to fulfill both and keep the writing going. I'll hopefully get some more up soon, although I don't make any money out of it, and can't afford the Inter game, having been to the San Siro already two years ago. Still, hopefully we'll progress and I'll do another one this season.

Same here! Where do you usually watch spurs games(if you don't make it to The Lane, obviously..)?

I used to go to The Cat and Wheel on Gloucester Rd but I have been all around recently. I'm looking for a new spot!
It's all about The Sportsman mate; or it's adjoining sister pub The Annexe, if like me you don't like chavs and prefer real ale to lager. And they do spectacular stone baked pizzas at two for a tenner.
