My Journey

Tomorrow is exactly two years to the day this picture was taken. I had just had a massive stroke while having Chemotherapy but one of my friends who is also a massive Spurs fan like myself said I had to live to see the new stadium. It was such an amazing day for me to travel from Belfast back to what I consider my home London. I met so many old friends that day and I think I made about 50 new friends from just walking around the stadium. This whole process has been a lesson for me to enjoy the now. I hope everyone here is able to enjoy our new home for many many years to come. I'm hoping to get back over before the end of the season and I just wanted to share my little story with my fellow Spurs fans. It was an honour to be at the new stadium and an honour to meet so many fantastic people there also.

Thank you so much. I am really looking forward to getting to at least 10 games next season. The stadium completely blew me away. Its stunning and to actually sit at the top of the South Stand was an honour.

There is so much greed and money surrounding football it's easy to become jaded and cynical. When it boils down to it it means a huge amount emotionally to lots of us.
